Yankuba Minteh (RW) Brighton

Well Ornstein seems to think we’re still trying

Do our other options involve failing?

Would love to know these “other options”

So you can shit on them too?

When did Ornstein turn into a mega hot supermodel?

Like a new signing!

“Mum says we have a Minteh at home”

That’s our default option. Along with paying well over the odds

Two “currently’s” in that Brighton message. In other words, as things stand, no deal. I fully expect us to go back in with a third bid and get Minteh for £70M.

Good post, and welcome to the forum!

Yup, usually confirmation we’ve signed someone when he says we haven’t.

He was crap on Grav as well. Basically not coming and then he was the morning he arrived. Be even less reliable on transfers not in Germany.

Kind of a weird way to put it - Brighton being “cautiously optimistic” about keeping their own player. They control whether they keep him or not.

It’s been going on since what, last Friday - that is not a saga by LFC transfer standards

Yeah but we’ve actually put in two bids. Compare that to the one bid for Barcola ages ago.

If Barcola is the steady relationship transfer, this is the intense month long fling that somehow has more going on.

Mbaye was a one night stand while we were trying to distract ourselves from Barcola

As annoying as it undoubtedly is, because I want new signings dammit, it’s worth remembering that there isn’t any immediate rush on Minteh seeing as he’s currently injured. Whether he signs tonight or a minute before the window closes, it doesn’t really make a practical difference.
