I was just thinking about yesterday, and weren’t Preston and their fans brilliant? It was always going to be a difficult match, but they really gave everyone room to grieve or celebrate as they needed to.

Yeah, I thought that as well. They were brilliant indeed.

From what little I’ve seen of the videos. Tsimikas was visibly emotional.

Think Robbo was in bits…and had to walk away…

I agree thanks to Preston it was a perfect day and a perfect tribute to Diogo and Andre and their Family. It was a very emotional day for me but I was also heartened to watch a very competitive football game with both sets of fans in unison and where the result was totally immaterial.

Darren Lewis from his Mirror column summed it up well ‘it was Jota himself who,on World Mental Health Day last October, said « there is not a moment that I don’t think about my mental health.Sometimes we are able to deal with that by ourselves and sometimes we need to speak with someone.when you feel something is not great you try and correct it. I have it here[pointing to his head] but then when I say out loud, it gives you a different feeling. «
It is to hope that through this period,Liverpool’s hierarchy, staff and players remember to say that quiet part out loud.
There is love and support out here for them.

I really struggle to think of things to say, but I want to say something. It’s such a strange kind of grief. Somebody I don’t really know - happens all the time, but somehow he’s one of our own; that’s always different, and it feels selfish or frivolous for me sometimes, to feel that much about one particular stranger, but it isn’t. I guess that’s the beauty of football, and community. He wouldn’t recognise me, but he wasn’t really a stranger.

I’m dead proud of the way LFC has handled it, top to bottom, and even down to us writing nonsense on a silly football forum; I’m proud to be part of this TIA/TAN community that I’ve been involved with for 18+ years (I was 15 when I first signed up; you pricks raised me, for better or worse, or worse).

Can’t even imagine the pain the family continues to suffer.

I’ll miss him.
