The rising top of the Capital do Móvel Stadium will now be called ‘Diogo Jota Stand’. ![]()
Lovely touch by Gondomar
Milner is the epitome of the classy footballer.
Legend for whichever club he ended up playing for.
I know this isn’t strictly Jota related but it’s another tragedy that Porto are dealing with this summer.
I don’t see why that’s so bad, its a tribute to him after all. Unless the card carry’s something in bad taste.

Roma is in Liverpool to play a friendly against Everton. Lovely gesture to stop by Anfield to bring flowers.
David Moyes’ tribute to Diogo Jota in #EFC programme notes:
"I must say how shocked and saddened everybody around the club was at the tragic news of the passing of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva.
"It was horrendous news but it not only brought the football world together, it brought the city of Liverpool together.
“Every Evertonian was as stunned as the Liverpool fans were at such distressing news. Our thoughts and prayers are with Diogo and Andre’s families, children and friends.”
A Crystal Palace fanzine has apologised and offered an explanation for the commotion during the moment of silence for Diogo Jota yesterday.
"A word on the Jota silence incident.
"A lot of our fans had difficulty getting into the ground. Stewarding was a mess. Some came into the concourse without realising what was going on.
"All we can do is apologise. It’s a disappointing thing to have happened and we’re sorry. We’ve had a good rapport with Liverpool fans over the years. We don’t do tragedy chanting, we care for our community. We have a lot in common as fans.
“We’re certain no one would have intentionally disrupted the moment of silence. Our thoughts are with Diogo, Andre and family.”
Much respect to Five Year Plan for this. It would have been easy to say nothing and move on so thank you. YNWA!
