Your worst Liverpool experience

I wasn’t aware or around for Heysel and Hillsborough and if I had those would have been it.

I suppose the continued block for justice on the 97 is probably an experience that runs through or should do in most fans minds.

I think the Hicks/Gillet farce was probably the lowest point, even when FSG got hold I still had concerns they’d somehow get it back.

Hodgson just became a joke in the end, I remember his last match which was Blackburn in which we lost to Steve Keen who hadn’t won a match in about 10 games and we lost 3-1. I think I just laughed, I knew he was gone. Hopefully FSG remain as ruthless if needs be. I think Rodgers was only delayed due to Klopp wanting that break.

I was probably a bit awkward with my original post, you are correct insofar as speaking in Heysel and Hillsborough has been done much more eloquently than we possibly can at this distance. Those two events are seperate from any other moments in our Liverpool memories…

The White Suits final, as you say was just one match. But for me it was a microcosm of Liverpool at the time. Style over substance. I didn’t really believe in that group of players, much as I wanted to.

There has been a few, some more serious than others as we all know but something that always sticks with me was the day Kenny left in '91.It wasn’t just that we were losing a hero,it was why we were losing him. What happened at Hillsborough never the man and you could see it in him, on his face during that presser was the pain and hurt he still carried.

3-3 v Crystal Palace in 2014.

Traumatic.

Losing 3-0 at Goodison in 2006 ranks highly as well.

On the Telly:
Heysel
Hillsborough

Way down the list.

-Final game of the season in 1989, when Arsenal won the league, the almost killed me inside
-1996 -Our team in those White suits in the FA cup final and being nicknamed ‘Spice Boys’ :see_no_evil:
-Hicks and Gillette era and the protests at Anfield and the last few nights of uncertainty and speculation of who would take over, we had so many rumours of all these rich conglomerates coming in and multi-millionaire Businessman who wanted to buy our club when FSG(they were called something else at the time). I remember staying up all night on the TIA.
-Hodgson era :see_no_evil:
-Torres leaving for Chelsea- my heart broke a little
-That Gerrard slip will haunt me forever, we were so close to winning the league.:see_no_evil: :slightly_frowning_face:
-Ramos dislocating Mo’s shoulder in CL final

  • We lost the league by 1 point
    -Jürgen announcing he’s leaving Liverpool
