Alex OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN: 2021/22

Probably, I’ll be surprised if he’s a player we struggle finding a buyer for. I think he’d be a really good player for most teams in the league.

Guess the intention is to be the Milner (experienced and versatile) for an upper midtable club but truth is with his injury record he will never have a 20+ league starts season again.

I think he’d do well at West Ham and it’s not a massive drop on a personal level for him. Part ex with Bowen?

He’s not really a London lad. He’d be happier at Soton, or Bournemouth if promoted.
I always have Jimmy Case’s career path in mind, I dunno why?

I think he’d get a game at Brighton. They don’t have many decent forward options, he might get a game as part of a front 2 there.

Part ex for Mwepu or Bissouma wouldn’t be the worst deal I’ve ever seen.

Didn’t play a minute of the City game. Seven changes for the Benfica game and he doesn’t get a start and five subs made and he stays on the bench. Just 120 minutes in our last ten league games too.

Really does feel like he’s fallen to the bottom of the pecking order of midfielders.

I don’t see him being here next season .

It’s a real shame injuries curtailed his progress here. He was really dynamic before that knee injury against Roma, and seems (from the outside) to be a good fit with our dressing room.

Seeing as he’s been fit and available for quite long periods over the last year or so, hopefully means there are plenty of options available for him, that he fancies. Would be nice to see him move to a half decent club and have an impact, and for us to collect a transfer fee, rather than him spending next season on the periphery of the squad and leave for free in 2023.

This fellow was happy/relaxed during the parade.

Nice. Just hope it was his good knee.

Lucky there was someone there to capture the moment really, or she’d have nothing to put on her instagram!

How he go about it? Like did 3 of them one with a camera go down to the beach and she didn’t cop on? I’m joking anyways, congrats Ox

Be nice. He’s a good lad, had his injury issues, always conducted himself well, and now he’s going to marry his dream girl. How can anyone wish them anything but the best?

I can.

But I’m a miserable bastard.

Some people will try to tell us that Keita and Ox were our worst signings under Klopp but Naby had some great games and I will never forget what Ox has done in those 3 games against City in 2018.

Be blessed, always

Ox was a good signing, he just had poor luck. Had he not sufferered that injury I’m sure he’d be a better player today.

Too many hold onto that period in '18 though, he isn’t getting back to that level. Since he returned you can count the amount of good games he’s had in midfield on one hand. He remains a goal threat when allowed further forward but he is lost in and out of possession.

He should go to the likes of West Ham, Brighton or maybe even back to Southampton. I’m sure he could knock in 10 a season if he plays regularly enough.
