Alexander ISAK: 2025/26

While I didn’t agree with the price we bought him for and am not too happy that he’s already 27, I advocated here that he’d be a good one to get when he used to play for Real Sociedad.
He can be a proper baller. Dribbling and trickery for DAYS!! And he finishes like an assassin!!

I am holding out to see what the players can do under a new man and a new system. No doubt some won’t rise to it but I expect others will surprise.

Kane is still the second-best striker in the world right now and six years older. I wouldn’t complain if we got five of Isak’s best years.

He’s 26.

At first I thought this is similar to the Southampton spying thing, hiding behind the tree but with very bright outfits.

Yeah but he shouldn’t do that he could have lost possession several times, slow it down and retain possession, be sensible be safe, scoring is overrated :squinting_face_with_tongue::winking_face_with_tongue:

Nope, Arne would have told him to pass it to Gakpo.

The mistake LFC made was letting this drag on until deadline and Isak fucked himself by going on strike.

What should’ve happened is that LFC should’ve told Isak that we would sign him in January. So go back to training and get back playing.

We signed an unfit, rusty, out of form player who simply never got going. OK the broken leg was unfortunate but even when he came back he was way off it.

I will say that Slot never looked like he knew what to do with him. Hopefully the new boss will. The clips from the Sweden game look very encouraging and he did more in that game than all LFC games combined. We never saw him take anyone on or have a shot from distance. Sometimes he touched the ball 5 times a game. So he can only get better under the new guy.

Yeah, wait we’ll buy you later, I’m sure he would go for that!

And if Newcastle don’t want to sell him in January? What if they do let him go but haven’t played him that first half of the season?

If we were wanting to buy him regardless of what was happening at Newcastle then that summer was the correct time to do so.

He will be better, much better next season.
So will Wirtz.
I’m so confident in this that I will have a punt on Isak as top PL scorer next season.
I have Wirtz backed @ 40/1 to win Golden Boot at the WC
Really, thats how good I think these boys really are.

Is that the same Isak who’s played for us a few times before? Unrecognizable.

Well some of them won a title a year and they all seemed to unrecognisable anyhow that’s all done.

It seems to suggest us who are saying let’s see what they do under a new manager are right.

To be fair, Sweden were a team in crisis only a few months ago, and now they all play very well it seems. Well done to Isak for his first world cup goal. :+1:

Isak is starting to look like a boss player!! He makes the players around him play better as well! Just look at Gyokeres!

No way am I watching a team that losses to Norway, sorry @Magnus :winking_face_with_tongue:, such a negative team from what I can gather.
One long ball and a player who can run and there might be a goal at the end of the counter.
