Why the fuck would Harry Kane come to Newcastle ? Bayern Space is talking nonsense.
The whole issue with Isak and Newcastle is that Newcastle can’t afford to pay him the 200k or 250k salary that he wants. Kane is on 300k+ at Bayern.

Sorry Kane’s at 500k per week at Bayern.
Perhaps there is a payment to a new signing they can make that isnt classed under wages for purpose of the ffp rules?
Also, werent Newcastle offering a week or two ago to give Isak a new contract that pays him more, but he turned it down?
I’ve read somewhere that Guimares has it on his contract that he has to be on par with the highest wage earner at Newcastle. So if Isak gets in say 300k a week contract, so too will Guimares.
Their highest wage earners are 160k per week with Isak currently 120k.
Newcastle just can’t afford to give Isak the contract that he wants. Not without breaking a ton of PSR rules in the process. Newcastle might have offered him a new contract. But it clearly isn’t what Isak wanted.
No one is giving Harry £500k a week in the UK at 31.
My point was less about his ability to unilaterally get out of his contract the way you or I could move jobs. My take is I think people are erroneously focusing in on a supposed gentleman’s agreement to let him leave when I think that is neither well sourced in the reporting nor necessary for him to have taken the position he has. There is an agreement and broken promises that has been reported that is well sourced, and that was about their promises to him about what Newcastle were building and what they were offering him to be a part of it. My take is that if the stories from his camp are correct, and FWIW some are reporting that sources in NUFC reject these claims, then Isak is in a totally normal situation that many of us can relate to. And while technically it might be harder for him to force his way out than you or I could, he would have reasonably believed that Newcastle would see it as both the reasonable position to accept it and a decision that was in their best interests given the money involved and how early he informed of the decision allowing them plenty of time to respond. And now they look to be fucking that up it is even more reasonable that he feels the relationship has deteriorated even further to the point of it not being repairable.
It’s the equivalent of a man being told by his wife saying she is leaving him because he’s a big baby who she’s tired of taking care of and responding by shitting himself and bursting into tears about how much he needs her. You’re just proving her point.
Well Harry Lad at 31 can go to Barcelona and play a couple of years then. I assume they’ll be glad to pay that weekly wages.
As would any other team getting him on a free. Not to mention Manchester United. The point is Newcastle aren’t one of those clubs.
Aston Villa: “Hold my beer…”
You can understand where Isak is coming from even if not agree to it. He wants to maximize his revenue as well. He’s on par with if not better than Haaland and he’s stuck in a contract worth 120k a week where Haaland allegedly gets 500k+ a week. A long term contract with a club offering major pay likely get him good money and more so after he leaves the club too for the final years of his career in MLS etc etc.
He’s stuck in this contract till he’s 28 and he does stand to lose a lot of money. I know he has more than enough money already but the comparision amongst peers do tend to come in. In any field , not just football alone.
I do think he wants to compete for more trophies as well. Money won’t be the only major criteria.
Because we prevented Hugo from going to them though considering Hugo is about one of 5-6 players who went elsewhere after being linked it’s anyone’s guess.
They have been in for at least 4 strikers who have moved somewhere else. It has vibes of us going after Alexis Sanchez last minute not realizing how much ground work is required to land the caliber of player they were interested in. Again, all just reinforcing Isak’s position that isnt a club that can deliver the promises it made to him.
It’s an entire scattergun approach. The only guy they’ve so far managed to convince is Wissa who will be 29 years old once this season is done and Brentford really don’t need to sell him (considering Mbuemo’s moved to United)
They’ve tried for Delap , Ekitike , Sesko and probably some other guy in their desperation to land a striker only to find that no one rates them enough to join. Probably their interest has been used by Agents to convince other clubs to up their bid.
That’s not really news, he hasn’t trained with them for weeks, he wasn’t suddenly going accept their formal press release and return was he?
As for “family club” tell that to the family of Jamal Khashoggi, they are scum club and became one when they took despotic blood money.
And fuck the fan base who wear tea towels and that’s not disrespecting Islamic dress code, they chose to buy tea towels and wear them supporting their new despotic murdering owners.
A more well managed club would have asked for a bid of 120M at the beginning of the window. Accepted whichever bid came in and then turned around and invested that in the squad.
Instead, the Newcastle ownership seem to think that qualifying a couple of times for the CL and winning their first domestic cup makes them out to be on the verge of entering / breaking the cartel. And then decide to go on their ego trip.
They probably do figure that they need to sell Isak now but the damage has been done before.
No it’s totally different because FUCKING SCUM SCOUSERS. JFT39!!!
That’s what I’ve been told.
Well Gordon and Shearer seem to think that. Then again Gordon doesn’t look like he can think and Shearer recording quite a lot of brain matter in that heading documentary
A really selfish part of me wishes that PIF would just keep the club for sale after this catastrophe and fuck right off.
It’s a perfect distraction for the fan base who haven’t seen any arrivals yet this summer….
And perhaps this plays into some fan thinking here that even if they got the 120m it wouldn’t reappear in signings, I’ve occasionally thought this when people go oh “let’s sell Salah”, “let’s sell Konate”
They did get Elanga through though. Just imagine how he must be feeling. From being promised that he’d work with Isak and then finding the snide bitter cunt Gordon up front as the CF option
