Do they need two replacements because he’s got three names?
Yeah, they wont be starting from scratch. They will already have a list and will have been talking with clubs and agents for a while.
Wolves always have a list of 3 or 4 players they are ready to make a move on if something happens. They are bit like us in the planning ahead just reasonably have a lower bar for moving from monitoring to pursuing.
Odd radio silence ![]()
Supposedly Diaz was all about a new contract which we did offer him but not at the level he wanted and what Bayern were prepared to pay.
Problem is that they have not actually negotiated. They have not actually demanded any specific fee. The 150m is just media stuff…
Its not even referenced in their statements. They only spoke about “conditions for a sale”. That’s different from saying it does not meet their valuation…
There’s a time to walk away. We are not anywhere near that as yet…
Abandoning this now would be disastrous…
£60m+ for Strand Larsen?!?!?!

I have Wolves going down anyway but if they sell Larsen I don’t see how they stay in the division (barring several good signings) and the man who did a lot of their good work in the market recently - Matt Hobbs - has just left to join Palace.
The big concern here is we end up being Andy Carrolled. The higher the fee they end up having to pay for whomever they bring in, does that get rolled into what they then demand from us. Best case scenario is Newcastle find a gem in France and pay 12 pound fifty for him.
Palace sell Eze then buy this guy ![]()
One slight improvement on this is Isak is clearly worth in this market around 120m.
I’m not sure Carroll was ever worth more than 20m at any point in his career. They will also have sell to align with PSR, all these deals will be set up hopeful they can get 110-120m for Isak if not more.
But they will have to sell.
More likely that Newcastle get up Andy Carrolled. They’re probably looking to buy Strand Larsen and Wissa for the price they are going to get Isak for.
That was my thinking. Interesting that they were after both at the start of the window.
Another believing the garbage we offered 110m since then we done absolutely nothing except sit around twiddling the thumbs.
'cept they can’t , gobshite of the Tyne.
I was just about to call him a hypocrite about that you beat me to it just like I was also going to say something about Newcastle accusing Liverpool about turning Izaks head when they have approached Wissa without permission from Brentford.
I like the way they re not playing Eze before his transfer too Arse but they have no qualms about playing Guehi tonight.
Seems he was “ill”, seems it wasn’t Glasner’s call.
