I’d be concerned about his state of mind whatever happens. Even if a transfer is sorted relatively quickly, he’ll take weeks, or even months, before he’s able to focus his entire attention on football.
I don’t think so. I think he’ll come here on a bounce. Relief with getting what he wants. Excitement about playing for top club full of world class players. I think it would be much harder for him to get his mind right if he’s forced to stay.
It’ll take him time to get physically fit, but I think he’ll hit the ground running once he does. He has been training, so my hope is that he would be able to play some minutes after a couple weeks - perhaps a starter’s shift after a month.
He’s spent all summer trying to get his way here. I highly doubt he’ll be pining for the smell of fresh Greggs sausage roll and strolls on Whitley Bay Beach once he arrives.
Second he walks in he’ll be itching to get stuck in. Everything else he needs outside of playing football will be taken care of for him by the club. As for the drama, that’s done and dusted once he signs on the dotted line until we play them again.
Yeah same with Bradley. I get concerns over international team managers over using them but if they havent been playing its not a bad option to let them get their rustiness out in someone else’s shirt.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say youd struggle to find someone better other than Halaand and Mbappe, and unlike them he hasn’t yet had the platform to really perform at his peak.
Yes, I know this of course, but and ? How does that change my grievance regarding Isak’s unprofessional behaviour ? It doesn’t. Newcastle’s idiotic transfer policy has been much covered in this thread. I am fully aware, but still don’t like his behaviour. He is under contract (to 2028!!!) and he is fucking well payed and hardly a victim. But yes sure, it is possible that Diaz would have been shown to be unprofessional too (and yes, it is wise to sell to avoid the posibility of players being unprofessional and doing this, obviously, as well as the fact that players tend to play better if happy of course). But it’s a hypotethical that is not worth talking about.
