Alexander Isak (CF) Newcastle

The sake of world football!?

Take a look at your owners, you deluded, blinkered cunts.

Surely if it’s all about ‘saving face’ with these dickhead owners then just tell Isak to put in a transfer request? He doesn’t get any loyalty bonus, etc from them for leaving, nor does his agent and they get a big transfer fee - £130m.

They can spin it however they want then. Sold him on our terms, we wont be bullied, he lost out on millions, and so on.

Do Villa have anyone else or is Watkins their only forward? Just wondering if they are looking to sell watkins to Newcastle…?

How is that going to change anything?

If a written request goes in, it will be because the player will have been told by the club that he will be sold once it has been submitted. Not to make the owners change their minds.

This is going to be the Bellingham thread.

I think the point being made is that at this stage a transfer request is just admin as he’s made it clear he wants to leave already and it’ll make zero difference to the situation.

There’s zero chance they can come out of this situation with anyone thinking a sale was done on their terms.

Some comments from the latest Eddie Howe pre-match news conference taken from the BBC livetext -

Eddie Howe on whether he spoke to Alexander Isak at the end of last season about leaving the club: "Me and Alex had conversations, yes I’m not going to deny that.

“Individual conversations are better off remaining private. Yes, we had conversations about his future.”

The carefully worded Newcastle statement earlier in the week that no official from the club had agreed that Isak could leave the club this summer could technically be true but they definitely knew about the players intentions ‘at the end of last season’ so any narrative around it being a surprise to the club that he wanted to leave or that they haven’t had time to plan for replacements is inaccurate.

I wonder if Quaresma is available?

We are heading for 2,500 posts with one recorded bid for Isak.
And none of us really can call how it plays out.

So after the first offer what else have we done regarding the transfer we haven’t made another offer.

Whats negative about that ?

Reports that we are putting a £120m bid today.

It might account for why the prematch presser was held yesterday.

Linky? Cant see that. 2 days before the match. But as someone once said…its a funny old game.

It does seem very odd timing, but they changed the timing of the conference at the last minute yesterday. I had thought that was related to Guehi.

The assumption that the club are twiddling their thumbs doing fuck all.

We know the situation. We have told Newcastle we’ll talk when they are ready to be serious. We don’t just keep going back with offers now.
