Alexander Isak (CF) Newcastle

Nethier of these lads have played on the left, in fact Wirtz seems more experienced in that and that is tentative at best.

I would expect we sign someone cheaper if Diaz goes but as of yet Bayern look about 30 million off our evaluation.

Is this supposed to be a joke?
Where exactly do you find reporting showing the ambiguity you are flogging into existence?

Its a general statement that there are different ways to replace players. Some directly, like VVD; some thru adjustment in how you play

Both Pearce and the club saying a permanent deal to join ahead of the 2025/26 season. No mention of a loan.

It’s not that big a deal mate, it’s just not entirely clear and Transfermarkt is no proof of anything.

The initial interpretation of Newcastle’s approach for Ekitke was they must be letting isak go because you’re not spending that much money for him to be a back up option and you can’t play them both together…

Not really sure what you are trying to prove with these ridiculous claims…This is Pearce from August 2024:

Mamardashvili is ‘undervalued’

Pearce explained that the club views Mamardashvili as a bargain, considering him undervalued in the current market. He indicated that the Reds are planning for the future with this signing, potentially securing a quality goalkeeper at a cut-price rate.

“It has been explained to me as long-term succession planning,” Pearce said.

“Liverpool rate this guy incredibly highly, and they believe he is on the market for a price that undervalues him.

"They think it is a good long-term investment to loan him out and bring him in at a later point.”

I’m not trying to prove anything but you’re doing a cracking job of highlighting the ambiguity I’m talking about.

Plenty to suggest it could be either scenario so I guess we’ll know once accounts are released for last year.

10%, amateur.

Simply hilarious :rofl::rofl:

Gonzalo Gaitan, one of his agents, confirmed to Al-Riyadiyah.

Gaitan said: “We are already studying and analyzing all options, and we may be close to finalizing the next step for the player,” without revealing further details about Isak’s transfer or his stay with the Magpies.

Al-Riyadiyah indicated on Saturday, through its own sources, that Isak has become the first choice for the Blues officials in the capital. Meanwhile, English reports stressed Newcastle’s insistence on the player, indicating that the club will not agree to his departure for less than 150 million pounds.

There were rumours a couple of years ago that Newcastle were going to try this with Ruben Neves but the other club’s were able to comes up with rules to stop it.

“They are set to vote on a temporary ban on clubs loaning players to clubs that have the same owners which would stop Newcastle from signing Ruben Neves on loan in January.”

That’s rubbish mate. The only comment I made on Isak in this thread, sometime around February, is that IF Newcastle missed out on CL we’d have a better chance to sign him. Never said a thing about their owners.

Sure the recent Isak speculation was very interesting as he would make the ideal #9 for Liverpool but we’ve signed Ekitike now so that makes an Isak move less likely.

It was a reference to how credulous we should be about shite posted on twitter

-1%, which means we have now “officially” moved on.

Certainly if we could still actually make a move for Isak from a financial standpoint, I think we could invest that £120+m better elsewhere.

Even with Ekitike confirmed apparently we’re still “monitoring” Isak

Don’t know why, I’ve got a feeling it might end with him signing a new deal with a release clause valid from next season.

At this point I am starting to buy into the “Edwards left because he fell out with Klopp and decided he couldnt work with him” storyline and this is just Edwards trolling him.
