Even if this move doesn’t materialize, the defeatist meltdown over on’t Caf right now is beautiful to watch.
Some choice quotes please.
Honestly, the reaction of rival supporters has been one of my favorite parts of this window. If we sign Isak, that’ll take it over the top.
It’s hilarious though because Arsenal have spent loads and bought a load of players, Chelsea too. City haven’t spent as much but when you add their January signings in - they have.
Yet we are the ones who are causing every other oppo fan to completely melt down. You fucking love to see it.
This guy has been pretty spot on all summer.

Not sure where Elliott fits for them, unless they plan to convert him to CF.
They have some of the best AMs in the league already.
Can we send him one already(shirt).
I think it’s clear we view Isak as a game-changer signing like VVD. When the chance arises, we’ll move for it. It’s too good an opportunity to bypass.
Both Ekitike and Isak may look ridiculous, especially in terms of finances, but if the club is willing to do it, I’m pretty fine with it if it’s well calculated.
In terms of football, a group consisting of Salah, Isak, Gakpo, Ekitike, and Diaz is a dream for everyone, and we have enough games for everyone. Both Ekitike and Isak are very versatile and flexible. I could see Slot wanting to build a fluid attack with only Salah having a fixed position. The other two will have licenses to roam and interchange with each other frequently, maybe Wirtz also. Actually, it’s the same with Diaz and Gakpo last season, but at a much higher level.
I think Joyce deserves his kudos on this, after signing Etikite he suggested we haven’t dropped our interest in Isak and saw the former as more versatile. In a way it happened with Salah so who knows.
Diaz and Grav and Gakpo have all been bought as certain types and switched up, I’d rather we get our CB in first but I guess we will see. Wouldn’t be surprised if the fee is diluted like Quansah.
I honestly thought the Isak deal was a non-starter after signing Ekitike. If this goes through it will be amazing.
I don’t know the formation or the team we have in mind any more, but what I do know is we will have so many options it will be unreal.
I’m assuming Nunez, Diaz and Elliott will be off, as well as one of the left backs (can’t have three senior left backs) and probably Morton, maybe Doak.
I fully expect a central defender, but I’m not sure if we will sign a winger as well. Isak, Guehi and Fofana?
I need a sit down.
If we sign Isak then those three attackers will leave and we probably sign Guehi. I wouldn’t expect anything else.
Also I think we go big this window…Isak and CB from palace - but next few windows we wont buy anyone until at least summer 2027 - unless forced to.

Might explain why Newcastle didnt agree to sell Isak when they made a move for TK 421 and we stepped in - if we were always in for both
I think we all need to sit down.
Must be intending 1 433 with grav/mac and slob rotating for 2 places and the 3 amigo’s up front . jesus will scare the out of all defenses if it happens
Howe’s 4D chess is off the charts.
It doesn’t matter where a player has lined up before the important one is where Slot belives he can play. We had the exact same discussion when Alexis arrived about where he would play going on where he had lined up before.
He knows he was getting sack some point this season so hes taking club down with him.
