It is not that difficult really…LFC can snap up Etitike while Isak can wind down his contract and get his agent to start contacting LFC and the Spanish white cunts once he has 1 year left.
All it takes is for the geordies to struggle both in the league and the UCL in the coming season and it can all unravel for them quite quickly because sure as fuck, Isak will not renew his contract in the near term…
And yet, here we are: the barcodes have told us that Isak isn’t for sale. They still pursue Ekitike. So what can we expect? Also, I’d be very surprised if we had the 100m+ upfront needed to buy Isak.
Sandcastle thinking if they buy Ekitke, keep Isaak, they would then work Gordon onto us… Yeah right..!
Fuck Off Howe -
You’re coming up against the LFC Edwards & Hughes tag team :0)
Newcastle are navigating this with a bit of a leadership void at the club after losing both Mitchel and the CEO this summer. I wonder if we see that as an opportunity to see if our experienced team can exploit their relatively inexperience and lack of established authority to get a deal done that otherwise wouldn’t have been on the cards.
We test the waters and see if we can get an inexperienced team to play their hand wrong and if not we then go in the direction we would have gone in anyway.
We are getting him guys!!! Just Isak needs to tell them he needs to join us - i am sure he would want to join us else we wouldnt have bid in the first place.
Newcastle are back in CL but they’ve already spent a fair bit on Elanga, they want to sign Trafford (currently unable to agree a fee with Burnley), they want Ekitiket and are also allegedly interested in Wissa. With PSR issues they’ve been having for years, I’m sure they need a big sale.
As for Liverpool… I’m really not a fan of spending that much money on one player (actually two!) but I guess the people behind the scenes know what they are doing and how much they can spend. Selling all of these academy products + players like Nunez, Tsimikas, possibly even Diaz could raise a fair bit of money to comply with PSR over the next few years. And if all these transfers come through and be successful, I don’t see much activity from the club over the next two years.
The Luke Edwards line about it being a deliberate ploy to unsettle him is a load of shite. Can’t see any world in which we’d waste our time making enquiries/bids if the player hadn’t at the very least signalled his interest in joining.
