Alexander Isak (CF) Newcastle

Yes. None.

No news, but an interesting article:

It explains our massive firepower in financial terms this summer, and how from Isak’s perspective, we are the only club in the PL who are a realistic option for him.

Still no signs if Newcastle will finally agree to sell him though.

I would keep Nunez. Simple.

Whatever the answer I don’t think it’s Nunez frankly.

It appears not, but there isn’t a line of suitors for him banging on the door either. I wouldn’t rule out him staying as cover for Diaz’s position.

Wouldn’t make much sense for Nunez to stay. We’re about to splash comfortably more than €200m on two new strikers. I don’t think he’s good enough to be a serious option on the left, under Slot. We don’t need a line of suitors, just one buyer that is prepared to pay what we want and I believe he’s also had enough a little bit and is open for a change.

Sorry. I meant keep him and not buy Isak.

Nunez was an obvious weak point in the squad last season, and it was clear that Slot doesn’t rate him. When you have an opportunity to make a massive upgrade at a critical position in the outfield, even one that costs as much as this, you take it.

I can see one of two pathways for Darwin.

  1. We sell him for a bit less than we value him at (maybe 35-40m)
  2. We send him on loan with a view to him rehabilitating himself and getting the cash we want next year.

I am quite surprised there hasn’t been more of a market for him, given there aren’t many strikers about.

Sad truth is he’s a bit shite at doing what is expected of him

I could see the lord of chaos staying here and being deployed on the left after selling Diaz if we don’t get the money we want for him. Unlikely, but I think it would be a viable option.

A more unreliable update. Someone with too much time on his hands reckons this is Isaks house up for sale

I can’t see either of these happening - more likely he stays

Reckon we get at least £50m for him. Don’t think we go near a loan (unless it includes a requirement to purchase - which are pointless anyway)

This one will go late into the window.

There’s a club not too far from Anfield who are about to need a new number 9 and have been turned down by pretty much every other one that has moved this summer.

I’d be less surprised to see him playing for them next season than playing for us.

There is a limited number of strikers on the market and as more of them complete moves and the later it gets into the window, the chance someone decides Darwin is worth the risk will increase.

Not surprised, as far as fan sluething goes its more unhinged than flight tracking

Personally wasn’t posting it here as a serious thing  just found it funny someone had done it

I’m not

Darwin is just further down the chain and needs a few dominos above him to topple beginning the movement. He will get sold.
