“Why Newcastle have reservations about Sesko”

I havent read the piece, but is the answer “because he’s shit”?

That’s interesting. I have to imagine the potential damages for Isak or Liverpool (if inducement is proven) would be far less than the potential transfer fee.

I don’t think clubs want to walk through that door, though, as what goes around…

Ill put my hand up here…not sure this is all worth it

massive amount of money
pissing off a nation state with rather large pockets
players striking/taking leave of absense
getting late into pre season - we need to work on things as a team, cant rip it up on the eave of the charity sheild
we’ve already got Ekitike for a massive wedge
still have to spend on (possibly even 2) a centre back
the type of signing seems a bit off brand (paying premium to a rival at the peak of his career)
injury record

no need to go over the positives in retort, i realise hes a great footballer…just…yknow…

What if he cancelled his contract for Newcastle and retired. And we then took a lad on trial who admittedly looked the same but was clearly a different person because he wore glasses and was called Alex Isakson?

I love when these fake ITKs put out tweets saying “Isak news incoming! Turn on notifications!” as if the news is coming to them via a carrier pigeon and they’re just waiting for it to arrive to share it.

Big news check back at 9.47pm.

Indykalia loves that, I assume it’s his break on his shift at KFC.

What’s with their faces?

Yeah, I was wondering only the other day if they’d ever crossed paths during his loan spell in the Eredivisie. Interesting

Arne Slot looks like he is regretting last nights curry.

When everything is said and done every team will have a niggling itch about this lad. Do we really want a player who is disrespectful of his current club to the point he is training at another club.
.
What if he was ours and RM come calling. Same deal but we would expect him to be loyal and he won’t.
.
I have big reservations on this lad. Maybe that’s actually the reason he is at Newcastle.

I support tapping up, anyway. This anti tapping up notion is the same people who don’t want you to discuss your salary with your co-workers.

Thought it would be walking around in Newcastle with a Liverpool Isak shirt … :see_no_evil_monkey:

I think we have to hang in there with Isak, until we sign him or until it becomes impossible and the door definitively closes.

We have let it be known we want him. He is doing all the dark arts to tip the scale so that his employers let him move, albeit for a likely record fee.

If we bail out on him, there’s a sense in which we leave him stranded and I don’t like that. We need to see this through to conclusion.

On a related note I don’t like how it is unfolding at this stage, but… I am putting it down to the tawdry nature of the game more than anything else.
