Isn’t he injured anyway?

Sounds like we’d be doing Sandcastle a favour taking him off their hands at this point. Generous club that we are, I reckon Hughes would even do this free of charge so Sandcastle can save their pennies

No a sickness, hes sick of Newcastle.

How is that big news….

It would seem pretty much a formality at this point. He won’t play for Newcastle again until the window shuts if not at all.

The bbq thing might have been a relief on both sides.

Isak has made his intention very clear. It would have been awkward for him to go and socialize with a group you are leaving. And for the group, and the club - who were presumably trying to foster a bit of team bonding - having Isak there would have undermined what they were trying to do.

The above works if Isak is leaving. If there was a chance for him to stay and reintegrate, not going to the bbq hurts that.

Goncalo Ramos? Might Newcastle move on to him?

It is getting a bit silly, the amount of players they are missing out on. If Bayern’s interest is serious, that surely ends the race for Jackson.

Bloody hell i am starting to feel sorry for them now.

This is the problem with their scattershot approach. A fully functioning sporting department would have already lined up Jackson in the event Sesko fell through. And did the same with Sesko once Ekitike fell through. And the same with Ekitike once Mbeumo fell through. And on and on.

The only other striker still available is the Villain Watkins.

There’s Wissa and Ramos.

I dont think it does. It demonstrates a lack of unity from those running the club - and until the player is sold, he is still ‘family’.

The club have reneged on a promise to pay him more, so arguably started this mess. They’ve publically stated they aren’t selling him. Now, they’re using this to show how tough they are. If any players have sympathy for Isak they could find this uncomfotable to say the least.

Don’t forget Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

He’ll end up at west ham with Callum Wilson

Are they still lowballing on Wissa…

Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr are ready to meet Brentford’s asking price for 28-year-old DR Congo forward Yoane Wissa, who is also a target for Newcastle and Tottenham. (L’Equipe - in French)

This would be funnier if we’d wrapped up Isak. We’ve had a brilliant window but really need to get in quality CB cover and another forward

The word childish comes to mind, you would want to keep him on board if possible, not make him more determined to go.
