bugger it… we have an insider on BBQs
Bloody hell i am starting to feel sorry for them now.
This is the problem with their scattershot approach. A fully functioning sporting department would have already lined up Jackson in the event Sesko fell through. And did the same with Sesko once Ekitike fell through. And the same with Ekitike once Mbeumo fell through. And on and on.
The only other striker still available is the Villain Watkins.
There’s Wissa and Ramos.
I dont think it does. It demonstrates a lack of unity from those running the club - and until the player is sold, he is still ‘family’.
The club have reneged on a promise to pay him more, so arguably started this mess. They’ve publically stated they aren’t selling him. Now, they’re using this to show how tough they are. If any players have sympathy for Isak they could find this uncomfotable to say the least.
Don’t forget Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
He’ll end up at west ham with Callum Wilson
Are they still lowballing on Wissa…
Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr are ready to meet Brentford’s asking price for 28-year-old DR Congo forward Yoane Wissa, who is also a target for Newcastle and Tottenham. (L’Equipe - in French)

This would be funnier if we’d wrapped up Isak. We’ve had a brilliant window but really need to get in quality CB cover and another forward
The word childish comes to mind, you would want to keep him on board if possible, not make him more determined to go.
All this effectively does is ensure that anyone contemplating Newcastle will look elsewhere first.
Few of us have a crystal ball!
I feel sorry for Isak, his life is not his own,..what contracts negotiated by others can do!
Nah, when they are stealing targets away from themselves, you can just sit back and enjoy the shitshow that is to come.
Interesting if true
If this is somehow tied to the Isak transfer, I hope FSG go nowhere near it. This is the kind of shenanigans that the likes of City’s owners get up to.
This bloke signed yet or what? Jaysus talk about dragging on.
We cant wait for Newcastle to actually sign someone. Time to move on to another target and not that shit show from PSG.
I havent read the article but it sounds a logical step for PIF to take r if they are serious about making the Saudi Pro league a bigger thing.
One for the Newcastle thread I know, but I just have a little nagging feeling about PIF and Liverpool. There were some rumours about the PIF looking to sell their stake in Newcastle a month ago, and looking at one of their forums, there’s some complaints that they don’t appear to be as focused on them compared to other sporting ventures. Then there’s connections via golf between FSG and PIF. There was also the piece about the Saudi Pro League looking at Michael Edwards, which seemed strange given his role with us. Probably sound like a MAGA/Reform voter with the conspiratorial stuff after all that!
Anyway, do we think Isak gets done before we play Newcastle on 25th August? Or if it does, will he even feature in that?
