Alexander Isak (CF) Newcastle

Howe obviously wants the Isak situation resolved. Isak wants to leave and has apparently made it clear he has no plan to reintegrate. Seems to make it clear that this is only heading in one direction.

Is it possible that a player could return? Never say never, of course. But usually, when it gets this far, separation is the end result.

And pigs fly

Do we really think he would be anymore loyal at LFC. Newcastle have put him on the map after one good season but with several injuries.
.
I’m not sure he is worth all the hype he seems to have in himself.

Put him on the map…one good season. Pretty wild takes

He’s the best CF in the PL.

What a cockhead thing to say “Isak wasn’t playing for SandCastle, Sandcastle were playing for him”. Glad Zlatan never played for us.

Zlatan doesn’t play for anyone, they all play for Zlatan

In the Premier League.

Yeah I think he’s someone you can enjoy watching him play, laugh at his theatre but don’t want him playing on your team (unless you are shite)

Did the 21 goals in 30 PL games in 23-24 not count as a good season?

Can well understand that the price is exorbitant. But he really is the best striker in the premier league.

The most complete CF. Maybe Ekitike if he kicks in from his start can get somewhere close.

But Isak as a complete forward is much ahead of where Haaland is. Even if Haaland does knock in the easy goals

I like this.

I suspect that we’re not paying more than £120m. If Newcastle want that they’ll need to get it done in that time frame, otherwise we close the door on this at least until the next transfer window.

We won’t be paying £120m then, that’s for sure.

I don’t think we’ll see any formal progress until after we play them.

Has nothing to do with it.

It’s not a Guehi situation. Isak has downed tools. Guehi is happy to stay in palace and fulfill his contract.

it does.
They wont let him join before they play us. I think thats always been the case.
I personally dont see this happening now. Brentford just added another 10m to Wissa and Toon cant afford it. Wissa was told last year he could leave in summer for 26m but now they want 60m AND get his replacement in first.
Too many stars have to allign for this to happen now.
Maybe Xmas but not before 01.09
