But does it really matter if they can’t get a replacement in hes not training or playing. Its not like hes still in the team and will leave them short they already are.

I think it gets done. I’m at about 90% on. It’s turned absolutely toxic. Did you see the chanting? Howe can talk about rehabilitating him all he wants. It’s not going to happen.

Yeah, it does. Optics matter in these situations, and Newcastle does not have interest in the possibility of Isak even appearing in red for their next match.

I am dead worried we will lose a few players due to some dodgy tackling. The atmosphere will affect the younger players but not Ekitike.

Mate, he is 47. He does not look particularly old for 47 at all. People age at various times and Howe looked younger than he was for a decade. Now he looks his 47. It is, I assure you, entirely natural

Feels like Newcastle want to avoid the optics of Isak dressed in Liverpool Red playing directly against them as long as possible. I think this move is just a matter of time. But it might take another week if it gets done.

His narcissism is so totally complete and pure I have trouble hating him for it. I actually love watching his interviews and loved watching him play.
Of course I would never in a million years actually want him playing for a team I loved and supported.

This is the most worrying probabilities for Monday’s game. We play a fairly clean game and NFC are going to take full advantage of that. I don’t have faith in the PL referees to control the game nowadays so just hoping all our boys finish this one unscathed.

Do we honestly think Newcastle players will be so furious with Liverpool that they will assault our players on Monday night?
That Howe will be talking like a Sunday League manager telling them to wallop our lads because we are stealing Isak?
Maybe they will be professional footballers, who know their teammate has been royally screwed over by their employer?
I took Gordons ‘warning’ to mean that the crowd will be very loud and hostile more then anything else, with a little bit of sucking up to that crowd by him as well. Still he’s likely right about the atmosphere but while it might help the Newcastle players put in their all for the game, I expect our players can deal with the pressure.
I like Zlatan. I think he understands that his persona is a carefully developed one to suit his brand and gain more exposure and hence revenue.
He was a fantastic footballer too.
While his comments might make him look to be selfish , on the football pitch , he did link up well with his team mates in his role.
Wouldn’t have minded having him at Liverpool at his prime. Maybe 6-7 years before he joined United.
I think it’s naïve to think that they won’t be affected at all. Their crowd will expect them to put in some tough tackles and will be cheering every time one of our players goes down. We have enough experience with Everton to know where that leads.
