Agreed. I’m trying to shake the ominous feeling I’m getting on this one. Waiting/hoping to see he’s back for City.
If it’s Covid then he will be out til Leciester at the earliest if it’s none Covid illness we might’ve get lucky, at least it’s not a slight niggle as that’s usually a month, or that he felt something that’s usually 2-3 months.
Klopp said it’s definitely wasn’t Covid.

Nah, he’s not among the best in the world on the ball, that’s clear as day and even from his starting period with us in his first season. Excellent goalkeeper, top in goalkeeping aspects, but on the ball, he’s a level below the best. It’s not so much about decisions and ideas, but the execution of it. So heavy and slow, no footwork, flat footed, it’s like he loses the ball underneath him.

One mistake is forgivable, it will happen when Keepers are expected to play around at the back. Poor time for it to happen though and not as if the warning signs hadn’t been flashing. But then a worse one within minutes? Very poor, simple as that.

What a fucking game to turn into Karius, the shits last game and now this shit today.
He’s been pretty poor all season, certainly nowhere near his previous levels. Another to add to the list of players whose form have dropped off a cliff.

Yeah, I’ve never thought he was that great with the ball at his feet either. He was a lot better than Karius and Mignolet (Karius is another people used to think was great) but he’s always been overrated in that aspect. When Bayern came to Anfield in 18/19 I realised how far behind Neuer Alisson was when the ball got played back to him. The difference was quite clear.
Ali’s looked poor in the last few games to be honest. Son’s goal at Spurs was disallowed but it was yet another that should have been saved.
At his best he’s still the best keeper around but he hasn’t played like it for the past 6 months.

He still isn’t as bad as Adrian, he was at fault today but I’m still not totally sold on him being shite for the last six months.
After all the back line is ever changing.
He should be ostricised just like Adrian after those Adrianesque gaffs!
