Maybe a tribute to his dad, if he had a look like that?

I bet with the South American games getting called off, he spent the international break moonlighting as a pool cleaner

Actually wish he had a bit more energy when he’s on the ball.

Anyone know if the CL theme music is being replaced with this on Tuesday…
Wonder if Alisson is gonna wear his leather kit…

Is it just me but has Alisson dropped his levels significantly? He just never seems to pull off any top saves.

I get he saw their 3rd goal late but a year or so ago he saves that.

I keep hearing he’s the best keeper in the Premier league but I don’t think so. Also I think when he concedes one he looks nervous and agitated.

I agree. He’s the best in the world.

I don’t want to pile on Ali, I cannot even wrap by brain around the profound pain he’s feeling from the loss of his father.

And truthfully his drop in form is in line with everyone else’s this year. He very well may be in the conversation as “best in the world” (subjective discussion, especially when discussing keepers and all the variables that contribute to a keepers statistics) but the cold truth is he’s been fairly average this season. Odd frequency of injuries, unfocused at times, slow to react, and just inconsistent overall. He really hasn’t been a difference maker in any match this year. Such is the life of a keeper I suppose.

without trying to sound all klopptomist, hes not the only person in society who has suffered from such a loss and had to perform in his/her career.

thats not to say his pain has healed, or he should jeust get over it and think only of the badge…

but…

to get to the level he has got to, he would have had to cancel out so many external issues for 90 minutes a week, maybe nothing as severe, but the point is, time has gone by enough for him to be able to perform in his duties as our keeper, infact, it should assist him in his grief.

my thoughts are still with him for the tradgedy.

Different people react differently, we aren’t all the same and it’s been literally a month, the guys not a robot.

Some people never get over loss like that, Mourinho has never been the same since his father passed away.

Just so everyone is clear, I’m talking a 12month regression of Ali, not recent due to the terrible events.

imo a keeper gets his confidence from the 2 CBs in front of him.
Hes had 20 odd parings in front of him and none are that great.
Chuck in his fathers death that he cant go to funeral for and a few injuries its been a pretty shit 12 months for him.
I dont expect him to be at full concentration at the moment and all the above is why his form has dropped dramatically. Hes not been half the keeper we have seen in last 12 months.
But for me, he gets let off due to above circumstances.
