I can’t see more than maybe 15-20M for him at most. He only has 1 year remaining on his contract and is on the wrong side of 30.

I’m not saying Kostas is better than the Robbo 2 years ago. But the Robbo now is different.
He was specifically talking about pace. Neither of them are particularly fast, but robbo edges it.
Tsimikas is quicker off the blocks.
Robbo might still have the top speed , but acceleration and recovery speed matter more.
Kostas isn’t better than the 2025 version of Robbo.

Look through the number of mistakes that Robbo’s done in his matches.

At this stage of his career it would be hard to begrudge him what would be a great move. Would much rather keep him than Kostas despite his obvious downturn in form but even with the emergence of this story I wouldn’t be overly surprised if Kostas still left as well. Gomez is still there as a more defensive see the game out type of option, and somebody like Hato could be brought in to compete with Kerkez and learn CB things from Virg.

Yup. Mate. Atleast 15-17 million. But then again if Robbo wants to move them it’s fine. Had given his best. If you ask me at 8 million we should keep him. May be we are going for Hato or some other LB and that’s why he wants to leave i guess as he might be 3rd choice.

Yeah I guess I’m kinda disappointed but not really shocked here. We’ve generally been good about not tacking huge fees onto players who want to leave.

I would have preferred Robbo to deputize Kerkez and continue to provide overall leadership for the players. But I don’t begrudge his desire to leave. And his form has noticeably waned over the last couple seasons. The legs just aren’t there anymore and he becomes a liability against top tier pacey wingers.
8m is a bit light, though. Was hoping for closer to 15-20m. Around what we paid for Endo, who was of a similar age when we signed him.
