Disingenuous? There are many annoying things about me, but that is not one. My post speaks for itself and I implore you to stop responding to my comments with counters to arguments that other people are making, a habit you have fallen deeply into over these last few weeks. I was fucking explicit that such a comment should not be used to diminish his success last year so I not only did not ignore that subtext, I explicitly argued against it.

Don’t say that. If we drop points on Wednesday we certainly would have to play the two extra games in the CL and that will make a Top5 finish in the league even more difficult.

I always find it odd that someone would suggest sacking off the CL because they need to qualify for the CL.

If we do indeed right the wrongs it could be quite a profitable thing for us come Feb/March if not going far in that would at least cover the cost of failure in the league.

We can’t afford to sack any game off frankly. We need confidence and some time to play but it starts playing every piece in its position.

Sorry i mean irrelevant in terms of if win then lose to west ham the psv win shouldnt save him.
im not saying every manager has to be perfect and cant lose games of football but its the manor of these defeats which is the concern. The putting square pegs in round holes when theres players in on the bench who can fill in.
Slots too stubborn - Gomez shouldve started yesterday- if he isnt fit then why is he on the bench? his confidence must be shot after seeing midfielders considered ahead of him. If SLot dont rate Gomez then he shouldve got rid in the summer. Sozbo is a great RB but hes been our best midfielder so putting him RB means our midfield comes up short.
Theres no place in setiment in football. Its no good winning league last year then finishing 8th after spending £400m (if lucky) this year.
As I said the form since PSG has been fucking dreadful and shows no sign of changing

You understand full well what posters saying that Slot won it with Klopp’s squad actual mean, and therefore you know full well what I’m arguing against.
Oh and by the way, bringing Quansah into it feels a bit off. Of all the people to blame for the Guehi deal collapsing, Slot would be fairly low on the list.
So why on the bench then if you cant use him.
Dont get me wrong Gomez is a waste of time and shouldve been sold ages ago but wasnt. Suprise suprise he isnt fit again…so why put him on bench? Why not go with Ramsey?

Why is it no good winning the league?
I’ve not seen us win the league very often. I really enjoyed it. Does us hitting a bad run of form diminish that? Not really.

Because you can be fit to be on the bench, but not fit to start, etc. It’s not black and white. If there was an emergency situation and defending the lead, perhaps he could’ve come on. He said he didn’t want to throw on a defender when we were chasing the game.
Becaues he obviously rates (at least last night) some other players out of position higher than Ramsay.
I’m not saying Slot doesn’t make mistakes over selection, but does it ever cross our minds that some of these players who we want to see more of are perhaps not as good as some of the fans think they are? Or that the coaching staff, people who are paid for it and see them in training sessions, don’t rate them as much as some of us?
Right now it’s a mess on the pitch, but it would be also a mess if some of us would lead the thing and start changing absolutely everything and giving everyone the same chance. It’s not possible.

I don’t think Slot should share any of the blame, for the collapse of the Guehi deal. That’s down to Hughes and Edwards leaving it late, to save a few quid and not giving Palace enough time to sign a replacement. The move should’ve been completed weeks before the transfer window closed.
