Looking forward to more control in our matches. It’s something we started lacking over time.
more chaos → less worry about control
Certainly the difference I noticed the last 20, they had that one obvious off side chance that Alisson saved but we kept the ball well and slowed it right down.
Shame Degsy isn’t around to enjoy the coffee bar.
My company did the coffee bar thing once. The employees spent more time socialising than working in the end
He’s around.
Who do you think cut Mo’s hair??
If I remember correctly, weren’t they already relegated when he stepped in?
They were 3rd from bottom, 2 points behind Blackburn for survival with 8 games left. They ended up 7 points behind Blackburn, but two other sides had been as crap or worse so they just missed survival. Every time he blasts a manager it is worth noting that he got 5 points in 8 games, which makes his tenure the worst segment of that season - which did save Sunderland, to be fair.
Claim to fame as a Newcastle manager - doing so badly it kept Sunderland up
Did not know that, I thought they were further behind. Guess you learn something new…
Shearer’s narrative around it doesn’t really hold up well to the actual numbers.
I remember them being worse off than they were when he arrived pretty much.
He is the biggest hypocrite going when the Newcastle CH headbutted his opponent and got sent off he thought the reaction of the players was pathetic but you remember his comment after Nunez got sent off for just facing off with his opponent , very different he thought Nunez deserved to be sent off.
How the fuck should I know?
Slot giving Pearce shit in the press conference about his age is top notch stuff
