What I see is that the players during games are looking for help and assistance from the sidelines… Sadly, that help goes beyond the capabilities of AS and his backroom staff.
No wonder the side is stagnating down to mid-table realisation.
Yeah I really feel like the gutless/lack of fight accusations are way off track. There is only so far you can muscle you way through organizational dysfunction. For us that seemed to about 5 games. There inevitably reaches a point where having to, where you know you are not going to be enabled by a structure that is effective, is demoralizing and energy sapping. It is something that turns set backs into gut punches.
It looks like with us that has even devolved into a little bit of internal sniping and loss of trust in each other, and eventually that pretty inevitably leads to outbursts from players working hard and getting nothing from it like we saw from Dom last weekend
I was going to say similar. Tonight we saw a PSG side that had shape and structure which allowed them to always have options when in possession. Conversely there was us, who look like a group that the 3rd team coach had phoned around for looking for players.
Ive seen the soccer aid teams have more structure than we have.
Its not a recent thing the snipping the earliest was Jones in October.
If someone who spends half his life smashed off his face can see it, surely so can FSG?
Oh, and Pennant also makes a good point. [He adds for legal reasons]
Even before their 1st goal…after 10 mins… we looked half arsed
Watching us continue to be coached and played like chicken with its head cut off is like the ancient torture of death by a thousand cuts…A long and painful journey.
It would be far more damaging to him to essentially throw his hands up in the air and saying this job is too big for me.
My guess would be the official line will be mutual consent, and some line will be spun that Liverpool were not prepared to extend his contract and he wants to get back to his family in the Netherlands.

(It does not mean nothing).
At least, fucking Diego Simeone would make the opposition’s life difficult…
Yeah. Wouldn’t have sold Lucho or Darwin for Bundesliga fluffballs either.
Took a look at our recent results: Since February, we’ve won 2 (one against Wolves), drew 1 (against Tottenham) and lost 6. The last 3 by an aggregate score of 8 to 1.
- Fuck Simeone and his brand of football
- What’s your problem with Alonso?
I’d be done with football if Simeone turned up here.
How close are we to done without him even in the conversation?
If Enrique had been our manager and Slot theirs, the result of the match would have been very different.
Our problem isn’t the players, but Tont Pulis.
Isn’t that a Hungarian dog with dreadlocks?
This team and manager is pretty much done. I’ve been mocked a bit on here for saying we need 10 new players in the summer. I know we wont get anywhere near that number but I stand by the initial point. Some of these lads are past the point where they’re going to turn things around under a new manager.
That said we are a club that can’t sustain success. We have cycles where we are one of the best teams on the planet and then it goes to shit for a few years. We normally re-set and come back just as strong and there’s no reason we can’t do it again. It just wont be with this manager and squad.
