It’s a bit risky to play, Monaco made CL so I assume their target has been reached, we know he agreed with both clubs I don’t think the desire is massively for one club over the other.

Well they have a chance and if not they will play in Europe, I don’t think financially they are as buggered as they were and it doesn’t really matter if Madrid won’t pay what they suggested they would.

Not really. Carlo used him there a fair amount down the stretch but that was a case of filling in gaps and accommodating the limitations of the rest of the squad. He is a hard running CM and so was put on the right largely because of an absence of other good options, but also because by asking him to work hard without the ball it adds an extra body to the midfield to help protect Kroos and Modric.
It’s actually a good example of the sort of for the moment pragmatism Carlo has come to employ, a big turn for a one time Sachi acolyte.
