Good.
Reported back to PSG training today. Things might accelerate now.
Personally I don’t think it’s happening if we don’t get it done by the end of this week.
They’re seemingly very concrete, at least judging from what’s being reported in Catalan media. The latest I saw was Thursday last week, that he has given PSG the green light for the move, and now it’s down to negotiations between the clubs.
It puts Barca in a pickle, as long as Atletico refuse to sell Alvarez. So I wonder if that’s something that could delay it. Which again could delay the Barcola negotiations. It sounds like a game of musical chairs at the moment.
People said this all the time regarding Izak.
Don’t think Barcola wants Liverpool as much as Isak wanted to join us.
My money is on Arsenal if we don’t have a breakthrough this week.
The longer it has dragged on the more concerned about Arsenal I have grown. I hope it is misplaced, and we remain very much in the driving seat.
New reports now from Spain, saying PSG and Barca are in negotiations for Ferran Torres, and are close to an agreement. Barca are said to want €60m.
I’m pinning my hopes on it all being done behind the scenes and it’s just a case of PSG wanting to do their business before a huge chunk of money lands in their lap and everyone dials prices up another 25% on top.
It’s that or the Mbaye rumours are because we’re getting worried and are sounding out other options.
I hope you are right! Ideally Barcola is done and Mbaye is trending in that direction too.

We should offer 70m just to speed things along😁
Mbaye is an odd one. Listened to The Anfield Wrap the other day and they were saying PSG want rid having got fed up of the outside interference and he’s be touted round half if Europe.
Can only assume then that him appearing in pre-season is a shop window exercise. But odd there were so many reliable links to him but then nothing has moved.
Yep, it is a strange one. At the price point, you might think it would all be done and dusted quickly. Maybe on our end we are really trying for the big signing, and after that we are unsure where the finances will be for the secondary signing, with lots of moving parts playing out simultaneously. Hence the delay for Mbaye?
Barcola Illness Raises Liverpool Transfer Eyebrows Before PSG Super Cup
Last updated 5 minutes ago
The 23-year-old PSG forward skipped training due to illness and might stay in Paris to build fitness instead of joining the squad for the 2026 UEFA Super Cup final against Aston Villa in Salzburg. Liverpool supporters linked it to ongoing transfer rumors, where Barcola has reportedly agreed terms in principle but PSG demands over €150 million. Fans joked about ‘Coutinhoitis’—a nod to past dramatic deals—while PSG has yet to confirm his status amid a hectic summer window.
In fairness I’d feel a bit sick at the prospect of facing half a stadium full of deluded Villa fans who think everyone cares enough about them to form a cartel collaborating with their fiercest rivals to keep them from competing in the Premier League ![]()
Well nethier of us were competing for the title.
We need to abandon this transfer and go for Mika Godts.
Isn’t he going to PSG?
