There’s little over two hours of Friday left here. Poor old aussies have almost ran out of Friday.

Come on Yozzer. You’ve got another ten hours yet. Pull your finger out, mate.

Hope I’m not being obnoxious. :winking_face_with_tongue:

Yes so that Barcola can watch the Sunday game in Newkie.

Of course if it is Indy it is right, and my granny played full back for Jerusalem, alongside the other fella, pretty well known.

Crossposting as relevant to this transfer too. Price gap still too big atm. If we bridge the gap Gakpo goes. Per Ornstein

Not in the squad tonight.

2-0 down I assume they will demand a deal is done or not this week.

I would assume figures are euros not pounds

He´s a good player but are we sure we want to spend 130 mil plus just on Barcola when we have so many holes in the team?

And we are weaker on the right wing.

Either way, would be nice to see a top talent come in.

I can see some logic to going in for Barcola. There is no one available near as good as him for the right. So get the best talent for the left and add someone that should still improve, like Mintah, for the right. Overall improving the attacking positions.

It is the French Paul Joyce after all.

It’s the quality of the player rather than the position.

Barcola is young at 23 with an upward trajectory as a star player.

You want difference makers in the attack.

Yes you can argue right wing is a bigger need because we just lost Salah and have little depth there but on the market there aren’t a lot of players at right wing who project to star players this window.

I don’t trust him all the same he might be wasting time u til the end of the window to entice rivals to bid for Barcola before then.

i think the numbers are too high for what we need and what we are getting and what we already have.

i switch my opinion a bit, but the further it drags the less it feels ‘right’.

im not a football scout by any stretch, but its hard to imagine theres not a level of footballer out there to compliment Wirtz, Isak and Ekitikes talents at a more reasonable fee.

if we had no talent in the final third, then fine, but all we really need is a bit of movement around Wirtz, and a bit of pace… surely thats not Barcola or bust, surely.

Wait a minute weren’t they wanting 170 euros? Also L’Equipe seem absolutely woeful at transfers.

I guess we will see I would be slightly more comfortable if he was 3rd signing of 2-3.

€140 I think, MH.

It started at €170m. First post in this thread has James Pearce saying £145m, which is just about €170m
