Martin Baker confirms 3 ejections last night. Why ? Because they updated numbers from yesterday.
It’s a funny way to walk around Indian media blackout. The creator of military ejection seats, well they have an automated running tally. Funny OSINT actually.

“All our actions were purely in self-defense. We will now deliver a devastating retaliatory strike against India for this aggression."

  • Pakistani DG ISPR Major General

Salt needed for such statements but it’s the same statement as the minister of defence. However, he also said that Pakistan was ready to deescalate if India wished it (I don’t think they do, if it checks out that they lost so many jets, but I hope I am very wrong).

  1. Bhawalpur is the main training center for JeM and that was where Masood Azhar and his family were.
  2. Muridke is the training center for LeT.

While it’s sad that kids and elderly were killed , Dont the people who die as a result of his terrorist attacks have lives as well ?

Probably went to hiding leaving his family to die.

Arrogance perhaps? Pretty reminiscent of the Russian attitude too.

Surely you should know how it goes by now. Those on “our side” are “innocent martyrs” while those on “the other side” are “sub-human”, “collateral damage” who “deserved it anyway”.

Someone made mistakes of course. But Pakistan was on the highest alert, expecting an Indian strike and they have decent air defence, AESA and awacs too.
Indian jets appears to have been downed with long range chinese missiles.

Bombing an enemy that expects you, indeed waiting for you, to do so and is on high alert and has good air defence is a very complication tactical task. And in any case, it’s too early to conclude exactly how everything happened.

I would wait for analysis by someone that knows what they are talking about.
In any case, if this escalates, this may unfortunately just become a detail.

Still doesn’t make what happens right.

Masood probably deserved to die. But he doesn’t get to play the victim now and moan about how he’s lost his mother and grandchildren when he’s been responsible for so much terrorism.

It’s just the perpetrators of terrorism grand standing and playing the victim that makes me sick.

Anyway , I’d agree with Magnus here.

A Mig 29 and a Su 30 getting shot down isn’t that big a problem. Those planes are on the verge of getting replaced.

The issue happens when a Rafale is shot down. That’s been handpicked by the Indian airforce as the primary aircraft in the future. That would be disastrous for the Indian Airforce.

So let’s see. It could be the older french plane which has been shot down after the primary attacking aircraft were out of reach.

Unable to view both the posts.

I’ll probably try it with the VPN on this time.

Edit.

Shifted the VPN to a Netherlands one , the link still isn’t opening.

Still nothing on the local news about the planes being shot down.

And links have been posted by Magnus don’t seem to open even when I’m in a VPN.

Open for both the interpretations at this point.

Do believe there’s atleast one plane shot down. The make of that plane is yet to be disclosed.

I agree, and it’s precisely because it seems so odd that to me arrogance/complacency and therefore underestimation of their opponents is a highly likely explanation for this situation.

I’m tending to agree with you on this one.

Isn’t the first time something like this happened.

You should copy and paste that post into the Arsenal thread.

It applies equally there.

I didn’t say it makes it right.

Bloodshed rarely is.

I feel you are just too emotionally involved with one side to really step back and appreciate that, however.

Most likely so.

But target killing a male tourist in front of his wife.

I’ve not denied where my emotions do lie in this. What happened in Pahalgam was a atrocity.

And even then ,as mentioned in the other thread. I would have rather the Indian govt tried other ways to get Pak back in the FATF / IMF black books.

The IWT as the worst case.
