The Germans just can’t do anything well recently huh… Overthrow government with 25 people, win football games…

How much longer before revolution?

Ahem intumescent ahem

Nah, sorry, those 25 may be nutcases and it’s easy to laugh it off, but this Reichsbürger scene’s tenticles reach deep into German society. The connections to military, police and justice system is particularly worrying. And they’re part of an extreme right wing network that seems to be getting stronger.

A seemingly common phenomenon.

This trend has received a lot of attention (in the sort of way that its well documented and then seemingly overlooked) and we’ve tended to view it as a symptom of something rotten in the American psyche, but there is obviously something more generalizable. Almost certainly some form of selection bias in terms of who is attracted to these role, but probably just as important the poisoning of minds as a result of the group think people are exposed to once they sign up.

Hello !
I didn’t mean to imply that they are not dangerous. Some of them can potentially kill people and are probably very willing to do so. And yes, they have people with interesting experience among them and it is indeed a dangerous movement. It is a symptom of a sickness that organisations such as this one can grow and not in any way good.
The reason why I discard them, is only because I don’t see them as a legitimate threat to the German state. That doesn’t mean that many of them cannot be dangerous, they probably are. Burt their operational security is ridiculously bad and they really lack dicipline. To be a credible threat they need to clamp down on the morons in their movement, which is hard, since it is a many headed beast partly made up of loonies without dicipline. Again, that doesn’t mean that they can’t hurt individuals, they surely can. But as an organisation they are much too weak to stage a proper insurrection other in their fever dreams. They do indeed provoke mostly pity in me, because I do pity such deluded fools that mostly make up their movement. They have no concept of reality and will provoke mockery in many people for good reasons. I mean, their secret plan to install the prince of Reuss as Kaiser and start negotiations with the USA and Russia over a new Nürnberg is fantastically imature and completely lacks intelligence.

I understand what you mean, but I don’t their danger is about that immediate coup, organised and executed by these people themselves- that’s just something the state institutions can now use to crack down on them. The significance of that story is much more that the new interior minister is fulfilling her promise on actually cracking down on these kind of right wing extremist groups, unlike the previous CDU lead governments, who mostly turned a blind eye or even occasionally sympathised. Our former head of the Verfassungsschutz, supposedly the institution most responsible for supposedly looking after these kinds of groups, is essentially a right-wing activist now and that’s just one example of many. Police, justice system, military. Sympathisers, networking.

The Reichsbürger - there’s the hardcore nutcase part of that scene, who actually believe in that Kaiser stuff - more of those exist than one might think, but their real power is in how successful they have been in tandem with right wing networks to influence the thinking, even the language of people who are slowly being radicalised. Their core message - the German state after WWII, the BRD, is illiegitmate and just controlled by the Americans - resonates with anti-American and often pro-Russian sentiments, now the Ukraine war is being used for that as well. It also resonates with people radicalised by Corona protests - a supposedly dictatorial state controlled by other ‘forces’ that is working against the ‘will of the people’ (for some reason these kinds of people always assume to speak for ‘the people’). Look at all the Reichsflaggen you see at these kinds of protests, terms like ‘BRD GmbH’ being thrown around et cetera. It’s all about illegitamising and possibly overthrowing the current state. Very dangerous.

Qatar buying off members of the European Parliament allegedly. What a shocker.

It’s already underway. Nothing can stop it anymore imo. The people in power can torture and kill as much people as they want now, they are finished, and the only question is when they will be overthrown.

Solihull: Three children die in icy lake tragedy - BBC News
Three boys aged eight, 10 and 11 have died after falling into an icy lake near Solihull on Sunday.

The boys were rushed to hospital after being pulled from the water, West Midlands Police said.

It is thought they had been playing on ice in Babbs Mill Park, in Kingshurst.

In a statement on Monday, police said the boys were unable to be revived and thoughts were with their family and friends. Specialist officers were helping the families.

A fourth boy, aged six, remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Searches of the lake are continuing as police seek to establish exactly what happened and if anyone else fell into the water.

Heartbreaking.
Also sickening to see people standing videoing the police chief giving a statement.

Show some respect, fucking vermin.

All four
RIP

Latest Nazi war crime conviction:

Given how few of these people are still alive it’s debatable how many more trials there are likely to be. Itis possibly more of historic importance as archivists are still piecing together things that went on 80 years ago.
