Kovac did well to save Dortmund’s season. They were horribly mid-table, even slightly below, not long ago. But in the last 15 league games, their form is just a bit behind Bayern’s. Big run and Guirassy’s goals helped them.

The 2025-26 Zweite Bundesliga season do start on 1 August 2025 and open with the match between FC Schalke 04 and Hertha BSC. Two weeks later do start the 2025-26 DFB-Pokal season with the first-round. HSV play against the fifth division club FK Pirmasens. Too one week later, we start into the 2025-26 Bundesliga season with the away match against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
