Bundesliga / German NT

Not sure if I can fully agree here.

It’s clearly louder in Germany. Frankfurt has been the loudest I’ve been.

That’s because in England many (or most) season ticket holders are very old. They often just sit there like in an opera.

But it’s mainly cheering and booing here in Germany. There are no songs or chants for single players.

And that’s the beauty of us Liverpool fans.

Well, I miss this volume a… lot, watching Premier League games. Even Anfield is like a ghost compared to this.

But the songs are awesome in England I agree. But seldom they are sung very loudly except when a team is winning with 3 + goals. But there is so much less tension in the air in England. I just miss it to be honest and marvel whenever I am treated to something like this.

Yeah, that’s a full stadium alright

English people are just rubbish at enjoying things/life in general, we’d much rather be misery arses. Our European nights are special, I think us and United both have fantastic away support but otherwise there aren’t many other fanbases that regularly create good atmospheres, at least in the top division. Palace, Villa and West Ham on the odd occasion can be loud I guess.

Oh Jude, what a chance that was. Lovely delivery by Reus.

The atmosphere last night at Forsterei for the Union match was unbelievable. An absolute cauldron of noise.

This has been an incredibly entertaining game where the best team just slightly edges it. But really, Bayern haven’t been much better than Dortmund. Very even game, sterling atmosphere like a cup final. Awesome to watch. My thanks to both teams and the game isn’t even finished ! Perhaps Dortmund might get one back in the end (though why sub Haaland I wonder, although it is probably match fitness I suppose, since he has been injured).

Those misses are always funny

They are. But annoying break, Dortmund almost had a goal chance

Maybe the inevitable outcome, though I think Dortmund had the chances to at least take a point. Don’t think Bayern played that well, imagine their manager will be unhappy about how they failed to control the game and essentially let it become a bit punch for punch contest.

Title race over again in Germany already? :man_shrugging:

Probably in practice but in theory it’s not that many points. I thought both teams played quite well, although I have seen both better.

Dortmund totally should have had a penalty…that was barely an offside on the start of the play with Haaland.

My god, Hummels. He couldn’t have done more to help Bayern win had he been still playing for them.

Jude. Wow!

Ehhhh I dunno about that, I don’t think the ref made any outlandish decisions in that game. Jude picking the wrong kinda fight there.

For all the admiring glances and wistful thoughts about how great the Bundesliga is this is invariably the norm; that point might come earlier in the season or later but it comes. The atmospheres are brilliant, the ownership models are inclusive and the ticket prices seem to be much more affordable. Unfortunately it’s all geared up for Bayern to get everyone else’s best players and coaches so that they can win the league making all of the great things about it rather hollow.

Jesse Marsch sacked by RB.

But it begs the question, why was he even allowed back at all?

If a Ref is found guilty of match fixing, that surely should be a life ban
