They did this to Mané last year:

Love that last one.

Spent the budget on being able to go outside and find a cafe?

:joy:

How will Kane say “yeah obviously” in German?

Ja klar!

Dortmund lucky to even get a point in the end - against the titans of Heidenheim

Finally, but very poor to make that announcement quietly while we won the Basketball WC.

There has been a period where you’d look at underwhelming results from this team and realize that man for man it was an underwhelming group of players. This team that got thrashed though at least has well known names. Weaknesses for sure, but it’s full of high profile players that makes their form harder to understand.

Who are the realistic candidates?

Nagelsmann?

I’m really out of touch with German football.

Yes, he is one of the favourites and our Jurgen.

Of course Klopp will be first choice, that is without question. But you can’t always get what you want. He might do this after his Liverpool career.

They are now looking for German speaking coaches…
Rumours are Nagelsmann, Glasner, Sammer, Hasenhüttl, even Arsene Wenger.

I would like Stefan Kuntz to get the job, but he probably wouldn’t give up the Turkey team.

Maybe the team needs now someone like Mathias Sammer. Very unpleasant guy, but maybe that’s exactly what the team needs to wake up.

We will see.

I really couldn’t imagine Klopp doing an international management job. It would drive him nuts.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they gave the job to Nagelsmann now such is the nature of the managerial merry-go-round. Having said that, Germany’s last successful period was more down to a captain than a coach. Maybe Philipp Lahm would be a better choice?

Klopp is far too much of a good guy to jump ship just as the season has started.
He’d only do it after he’s left us and right now he’s building a whole new team.
