I wish he saved that clanger for when the team are leading by two goals but this team doesn’t do comfortable, I guess. Then again, as long as they win, neither them, nor my doctors will care.

I think I’ve already seen him make one such misjudgement this season but it went unpunished - I can’t remember who it was, though. It would be good for his long term prospects to cut that out of his game but then again, Alisson is also prone to odd brainfart.

The good thing is that Arsenal lost there and Man City drew (not sure about Chelsea result), so that’s one way to cushion the blow of dropping two points in the title race.

These are actually modern day attachments to the myth of vampires.

Like ghosts it is a bit of a mistake to label them as solely night time things and in fact the first ghosts recorded were in the day time.

It’s a crazy league, I personally wouldn’t go down the route of finding hope in relation to who dropped points where. We’re still at the top, the points difference will still change for better and worse. Better get used to it.

Just a short post to state how good the lad has been for us over the years. We couldn’t have hoped for a better back-up for Alli.

As for yesterday night, his misjudgment on a split-second decision would already be forgotten if Schär hadn’t scored the most unlikely goal of his whole career.

But he did.

He has overall been an excellent deputy especially in possession, calm and good 1 v 1.

Where he loses out is on his reactions on the mid to longer range shots due to reactions and size, I know we’ll never know but I felt that both the 1st two goals scored yesterday were close to him and Ali saves them and the 3rd is where Ali excels, although Kelleher has been relatively good on taking crosses in this latest injury period to Ali

Gutted for the fella as he has been really good for us.

Despite his clanger, he is still miles in credit, and I hope he gets to feel the love of the Anfield crowd, even after he is replaced by Alisson this weekend, as I expect.

Not sure if it will happen already this weekend, but Slot said by the end of the month, Ali will be back in goal.

I have already forgotten about it. He won’t make the mistake again.

Made a grave mistake undeniably. But he is still a top keeper who unfortunately looks like he is auditioning this season for a top club to trigger a transfer for him. It will be amazing for the club if he doesn’t leave this summer but it’s most likely he will.

Unless of course Ali leaves end of season and Slot wants Kelleher to fight it out with the new Georgian GK for the no. 1 spot. In that way, he is auditioning too.

I can’t see that happening though. Not when you consider the money we spent on him. In my view, 1 of 2 ways things pan out next season.

  1. Ali stays No.1 and Mama comes in to be No.2 for 1 year, then takes the role when Ali leaves.
    or
  2. Ali goes in the summer and Mama comes in and goes straight into the No.1 role.

More NR 1 with the caveat that Ali will miss half the season with injury anyway.
