CL Pre Game incident news/clarifications

A lot of the newspapers are asking the Lying ministers to produce credible evidence of their claims about our supporters but social media these days have shamed them at every corner.

is this a sort of pay back attitude where the classe populaire are thinking ‘this time we’ve got you by the short and curlys’?

This should be the end of Darmanin’s political career unless he joins some real nasty mutherfuckers.

One of the interesting/horrifying things is reports of the stewards waiving french gangs through the first cordon, and therefore giving them access to Madrid and Liverpool fans right up to the turnstiles.

Combine this with the unconfirmed reports of those stewards being only recruited a couple of weeks before and from the same area of St Denis as the gangs, and you have the real prospect that the Stewarding was essentially in the hands of the gang’s friends, if not actually members of the gangs themselves.

it also doesnt quite explain the need to shut down 4 of the 5 gates…

surely turning people away from 5 gates is more logistically possible than turning people away from 1?

really weird

i suppose the idea in itself is correct, jobs for locals…but yeah, they could screen them to ensure there were no gang affiliates in those positions, but even if they werent, they still had to live, shop, catch the bus and walk the streets in the same neighborhood…i dont think im a coward, but i know, if i was presented with the same scenario, i might not put my heart and soul into stopping the gang members …i know i know…when good people do nothing etc etc

When good people do nothing it is probably fir sensible reasons. Think of a prison officer being told to smuggle drugs in or his family face consequences?

The fact is the screening of employees was certainly inadequate. The training was inadequate. The whole thing was wrong from the beginning.

Some caution required here.
Only 69 were arrested that’s not a cross section of those involved with agressions and robberies. In fact it indicates the opposite. That those arrested were those proffitting from a more organised, determined and savvie larger populace. Those arrested appear to be ‘visitors’ and those in ‘transit’ (St Denis is an area of transit) who don’t know how the French police work and ways to avoid their attention.
Also generalities about France, French and Paris seem a stupid. I live in France and don’t recognise what is being depicted a lot of the time … but yeah they’re all arrogant …

Drove through St Denis once in my life, at night, it was the most vibrant and living town I drove through that night (and didn’t feel at all dangerous (on those main roads)) causing Paris to appear dead and dull. Though those great big round abouts are impressive, glad I didn’t have to negociate them during the rush hour.

That has the unmistakable style of one of @gasband 's artworks. You didn’t tell us you had a ticket ouvre, @gasband! I’d wager that ‘ticket 001, 2022’ is probably worth many times more than any CL ticket (even if it part of a series 001-50,000) so noone would try to use it to gain entry to the stadium (although the impressionistic comparison is uncanny) - it must have been stolen by the French authorities! Quick @gasband call the French art police!

I’m glad someone said it, felt I would be the only one, let’s be honest if a similar thing happened here would the UK government not do the same.

Sadly we are currently in the throes of some very poor leaders across the world.

Noone takes responsibility anymore. Leaving our lives in our hands so to speak, something the LFC fans did for if they hadn’t who knows what disaster could have unfolded.
Still i think being attacked, knived and mugged whilst police stand by and even worst gas you is really reaching the pits of unsocialness/society. Can you imagine what it’s like to live in some of these french ‘cities’ (areas) where the police only have two methods of dealing with everything, nothing or assault?

This is indeed a very good fake of my award winning sketch art piece when I was 6 years old. To the untrained eye, this could be sold for millions in an art auction but for just one small detail. All my dotted lines are always clearly separate, this one had one that is joint.

Thanks for alerting me @gasband, I was just about to offer on one available for an apparent bargain AuD $225,000 (ex GST).

I hope so. She falsely claimed that Real Madrid fans didn’t have any problems. Her and Darmamin look like a bunch of snobs and were talking and acting without any shame.

That shouldn’t be a thing. it’s very clear the thugs were being ignored by the police whose attention were on those being robbed. Not the ones who were doing the robbing.

I for one, will never set foot in France for this reason.

Any idea when the independent commission will submit/publish its report?

No idea , but the French sports minister has said that theirs will be all wrapped up within ten days.

Can hardly wait.
