CL Pre Game incident news/clarifications

Well it only took all week…

It’s already been written. They just need to leave it a bit longer before it’s published to make it look like they spent an appropriate time considering all the evidence first.

Suspiciously prompt statement only after Real Madrid also complained.

Fuck UEFA

Also, I retract this post entirely. Fucking obvious why our fans weren’t able to rouse themselves as they normally would.

The normal energy from the fans could not be generated because of those pricks policing the turnstiles…
It must have been horrendous sitting through that game knowing there was a gauntlet to run after it…
UEFA need to reimburse those ticket prices to the fans caught up in it…

My understanding from this development

  1. Real had unilateral support of Spanish media, FA, and La Liga.
  2. UEFA don’t have the appetite to mess with Real and Spanish/La Liga
  3. If Real fans weren’t affected we would have been blamed

The other important and powerful aspect of the Madrid statement is that the assholes in charge in Paris had been spinning the ‘it was the English fans’ story. Madrid’s statement under cuts the lies they have already told on the record - and with both clubs formally complaining, UEFA can no longer play the clubs against each other or pretend to believe those lies.

Typical French administration involving police, ten days to write ‘Nothing to see here’.

Probably more to do with the pressure that RM are now applying (whether RM have a legitimate concern or Pérez is just moving pawns around) and if LFC was fighting this alone it would probably be a different story. The cunts.

The scope of the review is bullshit.

Eg, Paragraph 2
d) To assess the roles and responsibilities and the adequacy of the response to events, both inside the Stadium and the surrounding area, as well as additional sites (e.g. Liverpool FC and Real Madrid CF fan meeting points) on the day of the Final.

An interesting precission. It was the DNLH (Division Nationale de Lutte contre le Hooliganisme) who 2 days before the match circulated a note, with little to no precission, that 50000 LFC supporters would be present in Paris without tickets. (Well we fucking knew that they were going to have a party).
It went on that ‘some of them would have fake tickets and would try to enter the stadium’ but did not precise how many.
This note went on to say that others would try to enter by ruse by dressing up as stewards, UEFA and medical personel and cleaners. (I wonder if our tea lady was allowed in).
What they did foresee was a few hundred fans with the intent to get into (penetrate) the stadium.

[Chaos au Stade de France : les renseignements avaient alerté sur les risques]

I think it’s evident where Darmanin is getting his numbers from however he’s abusing the context and completely ignoring the reality. It’s evident lots of fans went to Paris, also that a few might try to enter the stadium without a valid ticket. To exagerate that to the extent Darmanin has is lying. I mean what he’s describing is that there were over 122000 LFC fans in Paris. 50000 at the fan parks and 72000 trying to get into the stadium which is completely rediculous, no?
This report 2 days before the match does nothing to explain what happened on the day!

If these idiots are responsible for alerting to football hoolagism no wonder French football is in dire straits.

“an opinion poll by Odoxa-Backbone Consulting found that 76% of French people do not believe Darmanin’s version of events at the Stade de France last weekend.”

I’m glad the French public have issues with the government story.

It was appallingly shaped and UEFA fucked up by going a long with it.

A week has gone by but the stadium “fiasco” remains a hot issue in France, with new and harrowing accounts about the breakdown in law and order when the match had come to an end.

Among Liverpool fans whose translated testimony has been circulating widely on social media is UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett, who said he had “never been so scared in my life … as when I came out of that ground on Saturday night”.

“At least when you are in a cage it is one against one,” the mixed martial artist said.

"There were groups of 30 men, running around in big packs. Some of them had weapons: machetes, knives, bars and bats. People were being pinned to the floor and having their watches taken.

"I saw people having their handbags taken off them, when [the thieves] would pull the bag from them and then slice the [strap] with a knife.

“The only thing I can compare it to is something like the film The Purge - where you can do what you like for 12 hours. There were no laws.”

UEFA and other organisations need to make sure this is investigated thoughly. That was an organised ‘attack’ possibly even with some sections of the local police involved (thinking that it would all be blamed on football hooligans, which is what the French tried and are trying to do).
France need a real good humiliation over this, at least like that policing might get better over here. The corruption in the police nationale is epidemic (so much so they disband sections regularly and implant police from far away).
Those storys and videos are telling, the attackers are chanting and actively looking to aggress and attack. Those aren’t immigrants from ‘transit areas’ they are organised gangs from probably all over the region. They even have dress code FFS.
It will be a real shame if ‘we’ let ‘them’ get away with prosecuting a couple of over zealous policemen, the whole system needs to be looked at (I wouldn’t implicate the Gendarme in this they would have been called in to reinforce unlikely they know anyone in Paris let alone Saint Denis).

Btw policing in France is really fucked up. They have taken the role to an extreme where prevention isn’t even in the vocabulary it’s all about investigating and reaction to crime. It’s what many police forces in the world dream of and are going toward.
I find it amazing that there isn’t more information coming out about these gangs that turned up. There must be stuff on social media and should be stuff picked up by interior intelligence. It just can not be possible that noone in authority knows nothing of this. The scale is just too huge.
