Yeah there was insinuations of something a bit dark happening with him behind the scenes. Think he was the first mod i saw (probably the last ) get banned .
Wasn’t an insinuation, he hunted down another poster’s place of real-life employment and turned his avatar into that poster’s real life boss.

There is no emote to respond to that post. That is horrendous. He only got banned? Should have had him shot for his own safety.
Think he was many moons ago . Before his 40,000th post it was.

He wasn’t only a mod, but one of the three admins, alongside Dragonshadow and @ubermick. I remember that because I replaced him as the third admin at the time. After that, he continued a while as a mod before resigning from that role.
lfceddie used have a thing about falling out with a member called ellessar? i can’t quite remember but it was a guy that was obsessed with barcelona’s president and thier finances.
The name ellessar rings a bell with me, but I can’t remember anything else.

Anyone recall the guys name who used to make a new account.. blend in for 5 minutes and then he’d be outed by a member " ah it’s X again! on his 400th account" banned. It was a running theme.
I have a recollection that he might have posted stuff to do with black rights and anit racism and get involved in an argument over it. i could be misremembering though
On the TIA banned list i think it was all this persons accounts apart from a few.
On a separate note, in regards to cliques and other people liking posts, I think the only time to worry about that is when you start also liking the posts against what you say and then reply to your own post in an angry confrontational fashion… Other than that … just go with the notion that there is a lot of people ‘wrong’ about your post.

I vaguely remembered howlingfantodd and the name ellessar rings a bell. The name lfceddie also tugs at a memory, but had no idea he was genuinely insane.

On the wider topic of cliques. Its not that bad here. There are users who gravitate to each other, but its not that off putting or anything. No one, or none of the user groups, come across as unapproachable.
I’ve had a flashback to lfceddie and ellessar. Ellessar claimed lfceddie was bullying him and following him around the forum , picking on every post he made. I defended ellessar by saying something along hte lines of i might not like you, i find your posts nonsensical, but i will protect your rights to be heard. It went on for a number of hours in discussion with ubermick i think it was… if i had known lfceddie was dangerous then i’d never have done that

There was a guy who got loads of flack for being a big England fan. I used to feel sorry for him. Possibly the only poster who didn’t come over to TAN… raoulduke? Or something similar.
Definitely not the only one. Scott Jones was probably the most regular TIA poster who didn’t make the move across.
