I donât think thatâs true at all. Szobozlai, Mac Allister and Konate all got round Martinelli and pushed him away.

I think weâll eventually have to come to terms with the real possibility weâll have to make do without Bradley for (majority of) the season.

its a shame as i dont think he set a foot wrong during any of his few appearances that he made for us,
was our best player in his only full 90 mins appearance against CP.

And yes, a few supporters on here, myself included believe that we suffer from various biased decisions by refs. There are others with polar opposite views. We get the same arguments over and over, so pick a side of sit on the fence, totally up to you.
Bottom line is, Conor Bradleys injury was exacerbated (according to reports) and nothing was done. Martinelli even got a hug from Allison. Thatâs not correct, in my view.

Just on a purely practical point the Bradley Incident happened in something like the 7th minute of extra time. It was pretty much the last action of the game. There wasnât really an option to smash Martinelli two minutes later. We havenât played Arsenal since then.
Any kind of reducer was going to have to wait until this season, unless you wanted one of our lads to deck Martinelli after the final whistle, which would have carried a heavy ban - something like 6-8 games?

Instead of cluttering the discussion with practicalities, lets think about a young player, with a serious injury being manhandled by a thug.
Your answer is based on the practical, fair enough. But where is the emotion, the desire to protect our own? Where is the passion that boils the blood of teammates that watch this unfold? Allisonâs hug, for fuck sake? Szoboszlai pushing Martinelli away? Will any team fear us next season, in a similar situation?

Even if inaccurate, he was still pushed off the pitch by Martinelli. The outcome is, we are still seen as a soft touch. Potentially we will have more of the same next season, because of a lack of balls by senior players.
Thats my dissapointment in this, and sorry, the practical side of the coin isnât equalising the insult to Conor Bradley.

There are a couple of incidents over the last few seasons where Iâve been absolutely disgusted with our playersâ lack of reaction.
There was a pre-season friendly in the States a few years back, Sevilla I think, and some yard-dog absolutely smashed one of our youngsters and got sent off. It was a fucking assault. No reaction at all. It was in the last couple of minutes and at the end I remember the commentator saying a few of our lads had âwandered overâ to have a word. Probably shook the cuntâs hand and asked him politely to be more careful.
Then there was a game at OT a couple of years ago. They were under pressure, hadnât won any of their first 3 or 4 games, and in the first few minutes the little shithouse Martinez roughed Salah up for no reason. No response at all. We lost 2-1.
I could also refer to the 5-0 game at OT where we basically stopped trying after 50 minutes because we clearly didnât want to upset them any more.
Add in the countless shithouse tackles our lads have suffered over the years without any sort of retaliation and it all paints a pretty sorry picture.
