My favourite game ever and if it gets released on switch 2 I’m buying a switch 2. Cannot understate how fucking happy I am about this announcement

Cyberpunk 2077 popped up on PS Plus so I downloaded it and just finished it

Bravo. That was the best game I have played since Witcher 3. Crazy good.

Yeah it’s a shame it released in such a bad state. Although they worked hard to fix and improve it, it will still be tarnished in some people’s eyes.

Also its a shame it didnt get as much DLC as the Witcher 3 did. The one it did get was very well recieved.

I cant wait to see what they do for the next Cyberpunk game. Given the lack of dlc, i hope that is because they are already hard at work on a sequel.

There is a DLC listed in the game, I saw it last time it started up (console stays in rest mode most of the time).
Currently trying to find a used Sony X85R Bravia for a good price on Marketplace so I can replace the 15yo Sharp Aquos I am using in the “boys room”. Wall Mount a 65"

There was one dlc, with Idris Elba in it but i think Witcher 3 had 3 or 4

Just treated myself to Silksong on my Switch2 seeing as it was only 16 quid. Every bit as gorgeous as Hollow Knight. I imagine I’ll play til I get stuck and then move onto something else, same as with hollow knight

Fair play to the Devs for keeping the price low though, the demand for the game was so extreme they really could’ve done a massive cash grab and over charged.

It had a metric shit-ton of free, small DLCs, but two big story expansions, Heart of Stone and Blood & Wine.

Those two DLCs were and still are absolutely unreal. My best man and I still talk about them - if both had been standalone games, they would have been worth it, let alone as expansions to one of the best games ever made. Blood & Wine was extremely difficult, though, especially the final boss fight.

Well I finished all possible endings to Cyberpunk and have moved onto Ghosts of Tsushima. So far, excellent game. Just finished the first castle storming.

Decided to treat myself to FF VII remake on switch 2. Looks stunning and runs like a dream. Hopefully rebirth gets ported too

Hacker breaks into most secure product Microsoft has ever made

By Luis Monzon

Once considered an unhackable fortress, Microsoft’s Xbox One console has been successfully jailbroken, opening the door for enthusiasts to run arbitrary code on the device for the first time.

Gaasedelen explained that the real power of this type of hardware hack is that it manages to insert code and assume control at the very moment the console begins to boot up.

Since the attack happened so early in the console’s wake-up process, control was achieved even before it had a chance to launch security protocols to block hostile code or encrypt files and passwords.

Since the exploit was baked into hardware, it is “basically a god mode hardware hack that cannot be patched,” he said.

Gaasedelen could now unlock any file on the console and run whatever custom software he wanted on the machine.

Given the age of the Xbox One and Microsoft’s approach to its consoles, it seems unlikely that the jailbreak will benefit gamers or harm the company.

It isn’t expected that a new wave of Xbox One game emulators will emerge following the hack. Not because it can’t be done now, but because there just isn’t demand.

Tom’s Hardware reported that there could be breakthroughs in emulator tech stemming from the crack, and that archivists will have access to newly revealed Xbox One firmware, OS, and games.

However, there are very few Xbox One games that are not already available on PC or newer Microsoft consoles. As it stands, Gaasedelen carried out his hack solely to take on a world-first challenge.

Very impressive with the way he manipulated bits. A nice explanation here

PS4/PS5 Price comparison history:

PS4:

  • 2013 launch: 399
  • 2015: drops to 349
  • 2016: slim is 299

PS5:

  • 2020 launch: 499
