Yes, I would prefer that we find a way to play him for a full match then rest him say for the next (on the bench to come on for 20-30 minutes). I feel that would be better management for such a young player however (almost obviously) our situation at this time is forcing things to not be ideal.
I would like him to play the Firmino position every one in a while.
Heaven forbid. We might score too many goals.
Ney, the kid is a quick learner, will miss sitters in no time.
Jones has a fantastic future.
I think the key for him now is turning good performances into brilliant performances chipping in with goals and assists.
He has played well all season but needs to make more of an impact on games
I think he needs to be given a more free role. Because he can muck in and get involved on the defensive side I feel heās been pulled deeper a fair bit this season which has impacted on his flair and ability to contribute towards goals. With his ability to score, assist, be combative and even height and build he could turn into our own Thomas Mueller type. Maybe a little more silky though if that isnāt disrespectful to Mueller. Would be amazing if Jones could emulate that level of goal scoring and assist making thatās for sure.
Heās the only LFC player Iāve seen do those dummy runs where he makes the defenders think heās going in behind them then comes back to recieve the ball. Wonderful to see a memeber of the squad do some classical stuff. I wonder why this sort of stuff went from our game? itās a way of creating space between lines that we so desperately need.
Makes a big change from seeing all our forwards lined up with the opposition defense and our midfielders deeper than the opposition midfield.
It canāt have gone from our game if, according to you, it was never there.
For the record, Rush, Aldridge, Fowler, Torres, Sturridge, Suarez, Owen, Salah, Maneā¦they all did/do this, as do most top strikers.
Why is Jones always subbed mid-match despite being alwayd one of the better players recently?
it happens so much that its obviously a plan.
a one off here and there can be debated, but once theres a trend i think we need to put faith in the management team that its an overlying plan to manage his game time.
Obviously something in the lads development, he will probably thank Klopp for it several years down the line but it seems a bit odd at the time.
Probably to give his swollen knees a rest.
England U21 squad for the EUROs
Goalkeepers: Josh Griffiths (Cheltenham Town), Josef Bursik (Stoke City), Aaron Ramsdale (Sheffield United)
Defenders: Max Aarons (Norwich), Ben Godfrey (Everton), Marc Guehi (Swansea), Lloyd Kelly (Bournemouth), Ryan Sessegnon (Hoffenheim), Steven Sessegnon (Bristol City), Japhet Tanganga (Tottenham), Ben Wilmot (Watford)
Midfielders: Dwight McNeil (Burnley), Oliver Skipp (Norwich), Tom Davies (Everton), Conor Gallagher (West Brom), Curtis Jones (Liverpool), Emile Smith Rowe (Arsenal)
Forwards: Ebere Eze (Crystal Palace), Rhian Brewster (Sheffield United), Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea), Mason Greenwood (Manchester United), Noni Madueke (PSV Eindhoven), Eddie Nketiah (Arsenal)
Is it their euros this year as well, suppose itās right back of the end of the season, hopefully Curtis is managed in the same way as here but probably not.
Edit: These are apparently group stage matches, apparently itās quite a tight thing to qualify so hopefully we go out, Aidy Boothroyd mind you has never come across as a poor manager so I guess we will see.
Why do you want England to lose/go out? Iām presuming your Englishā¦if not then ignore this comment. Like Iād kill to have an Irish team as good as that and definitely wouldnāt be hoping they go out. I get we donāt want Liverpool players to get injured but damn be patriotic to your country (if your English that is).
Itās funny.
Thereās three or four there who must be close to making the senior squad.
Ramsdale, McNeil, Jones, and Smith-Rowe on current form.
How do you rate this kid???
I would have signed him instead of Tsimikas, if weād had the funds.
