I still think he might go, as the club pull back on the wage bill.
Hope not, because I like him a lot. But I think there are likely to be a few players with a big gap between what they think they are worth and what the club thinks they are worth.
I think his issue is less about money but the lack of playing time and what he saw or felt was happening while Arne was there.
If itās Iraola coming in then I would think there is a really big chance he will stay and fight for his place in that side.
So while there is still a chance he does go, I think the chances of him staying have increased, and probably, significantly so.

Feels like a change in the messaging around a potential move - club now saying they donāt want to sell, and will only reluctantly agree to a move if 1) he requests a move and 2) an offer they deem acceptable comes in (thought to be Ā£35m).
I hope he stays, and at least it sounds like he isnāt being forced out.

The Ā£35m is presumably what we think he would be worth to us for the final year of his contract.
I hope he can spend some time with Iraola before he makes any decision.

I assume like many that we let go for free Brighton see his value to the current side more than the offer from Spurs.
Maybe we donāt rate Jones, saying that I expect this may be a rumour left over.

We canāt be telling clubs to fuck off with their money and also complaining when we lose players for free.
Jones is entering the last year of his deal. If we donāt sell him now, heās gone for free. And this would be losing pure profit for a home grown player.

I agree, to a point.
If the destination is Inter Milan, and they have thus far not even passed the Ā£20M threshold in their bid, even as pure profit the PSR does not work very well for us at such a low sum. At that point I would keep the player even if it meant him leaving on a free.
Ā£20M or one more year with Curtis available for us?
Hopefully he has a good meeting with Iraola and signs a new deal.

The equivalent of just under 32 games. As Jones is thought of more as an attacking mid I know how I view it.
Maybe but I donĀ“t see him as that. Just a normal CM really.
Could have gotten more goals and assists arguably but he had a solid season.
