Youāre one booking away from suspension but that resets if you can just avoid one in the next game. You start that game on the bench and come on at the hour mark just after your team equalises. So what do you do?
a) play conservatively. Your team are just back in it and thereās no need to risk anything silly.
b) play hard but fair. Your more aggressive approach might help the team but you know youāre walking a tightrope.
c) run about like a headless chicken and then launch yourself into an opponent without even pretending to look at the ball.
Honestly, Iām done with the lad now. Give Danns his minutes instead, can be no worse.

I think heās a better player than Andy Carroll was, but the parallels are striking. Heās shoehorned in there because heās our record signing, and the reality is that heās lacking the intelligence to adapt to a system, instead needing the system to be based around him.
But honestly, at this point the excuses for him are gone. Heās NOT young, raw, in need of time, needs patience to adapt to the leagueā¦ heās here over two and a half years now, and has not shown in any way that heās good enough to play for us. His ego might think heās an Ā£85m player, but his ability is far, far, far from it.

If we can get 25-30m for him in January, take it.
That booking, which rules him out of the Forest game is symptomatic of a lad without an ounce of football intelligence.

Assume heāll start against Accrington, will be very interesting to see how he manages against players at that level.
At the point that I was pointing out that the criticism of him was over the top, it was mainly because he doing the other things right, but then his goalscoring wasnāt as good as it should have been, because the number of shots he took just fell off a cliff.
But since then, everything else has too fallen off a cliff. I donāt think he needs that system to be based around him, nor that heās lacking the intelligence (in fact, when I looked up articles based around his time at Benfica they were highlighting his intellgence, which is a weird contrast).
I think thereās something about his temperament thatās just odd. Iād actually compare him more to Balotelli in that regard. Great players when theyāre on their game, but itās getting them consistently on that point thatās the problem. JĆ¼rgen seemed to do enough to coax some performance out of him, but his frustration this season shows, and itās not in a good way.
I donāt know how to solve that problem, because there is quite clearly something to work with under there, but the question is what exactly.
Its Forest a ban for 5 yellows has to be served in league.

I could be wrong, but thought suspensions (red cards at least) carry over cup gamesā¦ maybe the accumulation is only served in epl?
