Also, I seem to recall a few stories about him having a bit of a disruptive personality and caused a bit of trouble within the squad, hence they have actively tried to offload him to Chelsea, which fell through, Saudi, Turkey and now they think they can milk us to help them get rid of their problem.
That story originates from the interview given by the owner/director of Radio Kiss Kiss from Napoli, it’s a few days old. They are Napoli’s mouthpiece and they spread the information that benefit their club.
A direct swap to Napoli for osimhen with some difference in transfer value between the release clause and Nunez’s perceived value might be okay.
Hopefully Atletico come up with a good offer so that Nunez gets his due asking price.
As far as the article goes , if De Laurentis wants to take undue advantage, fuck him. He’s got Osimhen on a 1+1 year contract left. Best of luck trying to sell him when no club comes in for him.
Don’t ban me as I don’t want to get into a discussion here.
Alvarez is the better choice by far but he’s not shown any inclination to leave Atletico.
All things considered including Isak’s price and his injury history.
I think we are stuck with Ekitike.
Not sure we’d want to have Osimhen. It’s nothing to do with his behaviour. But he’s going to be what 26 if and when he joins Liverpool ? That much of money being invested , I’d rather if it means we have someone younger.
I do think we are too late for Isak fwiw. That is mostly for his injury prone nature.
But Osimhen is probably not what we are looking for in a CF. He’s an ace goal scorer. But I think we are looking for someone more rounded. Like Alvarez and Isak , the closest in that fit probably is Ekitike.
Gotta disagree with you here, fella. Osimhen is a guaranteed goal-scorer and I think he’d fit in very nicely here. He’s into his prime years and I reckon we’d get 3-4 seasons of 20+ goals from him. He has a good fitness record and I reckon will be right at home at the highest level. He’s the closest thing to a sure bet in the CF market this year, all of the others have major question marks over them.
Ekitike might be younger, but his frame is more slight and he’s had a grand total of one half-decent season in the German league. Big risk at the prices quoted. Osimhen has proven he can do the job over multiple seasons, if he’s available in a deal that also sees us shift Nunez, then I think we need to do that deal.
