Not a chance this will happen unless they involve Osimhen. Italian clubs are skint. THey will offer a loan deal with a clause to buy for 40 million. Will ask us to pay half his salary.

Good thing that Hughes reportedly knows Italian clubs very well then. I think Napoli will sell Osimhen to raise funds for Nunez and that Nunez’ transfer (if they decide to go all the way) will get done for 50 million pounds, maybe some clauses will be involved to take the fee higher if he becomes a success there. If Conte can turn McTominay into the player of the season, I can only imagine what he could do with Nunez.

I rate Conte as a coach but this is his dreaded second season.
The one where he inevitably starts a fight with the owners , loses the dressing room and then gets sacked.

If Napoli are the only option for Nunez, our leverage in the deal is diminished.
We will either achieve a price we can live with, or we will have to keep the player. If Slot is clearing the decks a bit to shape it to his requirement, and if he doesn’t fancy Nunez as a player, it tilts the advantage to Napoli in the negotiation.
I think we are going to take a bit of a bath and get 40M pounds, with a little bit more for add-ons.
Still, with that modest fee for Nunez, and say 40M pounds from Brighton for Elliott, we are well placed to sign Ekitike and continue moving forward.
Dont worry guys either Nunez stays as he can only get better or Saudi will come calling in 
Worst case if we have to deal with Napoli a swap for Osimhen.

Al Hilal (the Saudi club previously after Nunez) also play in blue with some white on their kit, unless I’ve missed something specific that refers to Napoli or Italy.
