Darwin Nunez (CF/LW) to Al Hilal/Atletico/Napoli

Emojis are about his buzzcut are they not (stripey barbers pole).

The choice of balloons is just attention seeking nonsense. Or Uruguay colours.

Fucking social media.

Serie A champions and he is their top target.

Lets fleece them for every screwjob Italian clubs have pulled in the transfer market involving us.

Will prefer Nunez to stay. But if we want to sell him to Napoli - At the rate quoted would prefer a straight swap with Osimhen. Hopefully Saudi comes in to the fray. On a lighter note Wont be surprised with a bid from Arsenal for 50,000,001 Pounds.

Not sold on Osimhen. Great finisher, but doesn’t add much to the teams overall playing style.

If it was a case of selling Darwin too bring in Issak, who I think is more rounded in his overall game, then I’d be on board

Half think we might start the season with Jota, Diaz and Wirtz as our central options in the front three.

There just doesn’t seem to be the right striker out there for the right price this summer and the club have shown they’re happy to keep their powder dry and find internal solutions if the right option isn’t available.

Might allow us to be opportunistic and go after a young wide player instead, like Fofana at Lyon, and then revisit CF next summer.

Of course all dependent on Nunez going but can’t see a way he’s part of the squad next season.

Confident a deal will be struck. It’s still only late June, naturally there will be more movement and outgoings, so I believe we will find an agreement. Hope the club gets as much as it can, because my valuation of him is lower, so I believe I’ll be satisfied with whatever they get.

I’m not sure how reliable it was, but I saw one report claiming that we’d struck a deal with Napoli for £38.5m with a further £4.25m in add-ons (without checking, I’m guessing that’s something like 40m + 5m euros)…

Feels a little on the low side to me, but perhaps we have a replacement or additional signing (Guehi?) lined up and want this done asap to fund that rather than spend weeks haggling.

We are over the non-HG quota with the signing of Kirkez. You assume one of the LBs will be moving on to address that, but it does provide an imperative to do something else on exits if we’ve got an interest in doing anything else (incidentally why the Guehi links do ring true even if I dont get it) and wont want to be in a protracted will he/wont he situation with the player we need to find a home for to make that additional move.

I think Guehi is replacing Konate

I hope not. That would be a downgrade.

I don’t think so.

I think this is a real possibility, especially given the club’s history of being patient. If Nunez is sold and Isak becomes available, I think we do it. Otherwise, I think we’ll wait. Ekitike for the price being thrown around is absurd…no way we buy him for that amount.

This summer or next? And who do you think will replace Quansah?

I think Guehi will surprise a lot of us as he is a good defender, but then so is Ibou and if he does move on, he will be greatly missed.

I doubt we’d be looking to rush a sale for that reason. I think more likely we had gauged interest in Darwin and figured £40m was likely to be the price we could get for him (outside of a move to a Saudi team).

65m will do nicely.

I think that’s what we are asking for, not what they want to pay.

Working on Deal structure probably means that the price is largely ok with Napoli.

I suspect there will be a difference in the final price.

The cash won’t be a problem for Napoli. They’ve got the Osimhen money coming in which should finance this.

Also Nunez’s comparitively low wages.
