Dortmund does not have to sell and, barring another similar clause to Haaland that limits the price, Bellingham is going to trigger a bidding war that will value him upwards of 100mil. And even if he prefers us, I don’t see him forcing Dortmund to accept a too low a bid from us but I also do not see us making a 100mil bid for one player. Maybe that will change in time to come but does not seem likely.

It’s a myth that Man Utd weren’t interested in Nunez. They had talks with him for quite a long while. They are just putting out the message that they had other positions to fill on a priority once it’s becoming clear that Liverpool have joined the race.

Not that I am changing my original opinion on the player but this is a substantial sum of money. Clearly the club feels convicted this is their guy to agree to such a fee. This is no value buy on a statistical outlier. This is a massive money, marquee signing.
I trust the club and the recruitment team 100%, but given the player’s small sample size the fee makes me a little nervous.
Sure it’s not your money. Relax and enjoy the ride!
