Fair play to Ward. First summer running the ship without Mikey Edwards and he goes out and tries to land one of the biggest deals in the clubs history.
I wasn’t all that convinced to be fair and it is a huge fee but, if the nerds in the analysis team think he’s the one then it’s hard to argue given their track record.
Certainly going to mean a bit of an evolution (badum tish 
) with our attack. Going to be a dream for Robbo and Trent to be looking up and seeing this lad charging into the box instead of Firmino hanging about on the edge it. And whilst Fimino did a great job of dropping deep and playing between lines, it did mean teams were able to double up on Salah and Mane more given they weren’t as worried by the threat in the middle. That won’t be the case anymore.
It’s always exciting signing a proper number 9 for big money and it has been a while for us so im putting my doubts to the back of my mind and fully getting on the hype wagon on this one.
