But if there were to be some coup attempt, you would probably have to populate the MoD with these exact people.

In another country it would look like a military coup, but this is the US, so probably not possible to do that, as I think Trump has no such support from those you need support from to stage a armed take over. But there can be other reasons to install these insane guys into these positions, maybe something to do with security clearance, but I can’t say.

Nah, I don’t think the worst case scenarios is happening at all, but it looks strange. I believe that some sort of cover up is under way. But it is more than awkward, because look at this thread:

It looks fantastically bad from where I am at.
I’ve read now about four hypotheses.

- Use of the military inside.

- That’s what it looks like, but it’s almost impossible, he has no such support. I refuse to think the US officer corps would obey such orders, the majority of them anyway. The thought is absurd.
- I think there is a 5. Asha Rangappa mentions a possible cover up in her thread and that makes MUCH more sense than a military coup.
I think he is refusing to concede and doing all that bluster to buy himself some time. Sack important people in prominent positions, put his own flunkies in there, cover up and destroy incriminating info that will validate all the Russia and Ukraine stuff, and likely much more besides, that hasn’t even got near to the public consciousness.
It’s a cover up operation, I think.
