Ding Dong.....the US Politics Thread (Part 1)

Down to 55k for 63k last time I saw with something like 645,000 votes left to count.

How the fuck is this so tight?

I think Biden is going to win this in the end, at least in terms of what actually happened in the voting booth, not necessarily in the courts and who the fuck knows what Trump/Republicans have up their sleeve now. But we’ll see.
That being said, I think it’s fair to say that betting almost everything on these suburban Republicans/swing voters was a pretty risky plan after all.

Ok…I’m calling the remaining states and see how I do…(yes, I’m missing Zinedine Biscan’s last man standing thread…)

Those not yet projected:
Wisconsin
Michigan
Nevada
Arizona
Georgia
Alaska
North Carolina
Maine
Pennsylvania

Currently 224 Biden 213 Trump according to the BBC.

I’m going with wins for Biden:
Michigan 16
Arizona 11
Wisconsin 10
Maine 4

Wins for Trump
North Carolina 15
Georgia 16
Nevada 6
Pennsylvania 20
Alaska 3

Totals: Biden 265 Trump 273

I think the Nevada vote could go either way so if it went to Biden it would be 271 to 267 to Biden.

In some areas the mail in votes don’t get counted until late on, and that is often where a lot of Democrat votes are to be found.

Biden is expected to win the Popular vote by about 5-8m votes

One hopes. College votes?

Thats what the @kopstar has posted above - however, pollsters and the betting markets think Biden will hit 270 due to the mail votes still to come.

12K in it now

Is Biden not over 20k ahead in Wisconsin?

That might be a little behind. BBC has Trump 2,406k in Michigan with Biden on 2,379k…squeaky bum time.

Detroit area has only counted 64% so far, that should calm everyone down
