This must be Pelosi’s worry.
I pray to dark and malign gods of vengefulness that it will be Guiliani.
I sacrifice a kitten in their name. So it shall be…
This had better wind up being more than violent entry and disorderly conduct. Otherwise it’s all for naught.
In my view, and I am very liberal when it comes to Free Speech (I am against banning Swastikas and etc.), this crosses the line into the realms of incitement to kill and possibly even a direct death threat, since it comes from one of the manipulating leaders of the “storm”:
And surely, this also crosses such a line in US law ? What astounds me with this is that Lin Wood is a lawyer. Lawyers with ill intent have a nasty tendency to dance around issues, refusing to be direct, so that they cannot be charged. Lin Wood doesn’t dance around the issues here, you have to have extraordinary bad faith to not see this as a counsel to shoot Pence surely.
If steaming is illegal and I can’t watch the FA Cup, then surely Wood’s incitement has to be.
All of the greatest hits are being replayed as the Twittersphere comes to grips with the last four years…this is a reference to Kayleigh btw…
So what you’re really saying is, be more like the UK?
Maybe we should take back control?
Come back and join our Union
Consequences
Hmmm, why now?
Because he wants to complicate the Biden presidency with an angry and aggressive China perhaps, as this is very, very close to officially recognicing Taiwan. It is blatant sabotage, since Biden will be hard pressed politically domestically to withdraw this restriction by conservatives and some liberals.
Recognition of Taiwan would mean that a Chinese invasion is closer at hand, as it could force their hand if they think status quo ante will change.
My guess anyway, this admin does all sorts of things just for spite.
Yes, it’s blatant political mischief making, but potentially lethal
Yeah. Very dangerous play.
Not only is China a dangerous foe, but it is not as if the US can actually guarantee the security of Taiwan anyway, it is much too close to the Chinese mainland, and politically everyone agrees that it is part of China internationally, so I don’t know what kind of allies the US will find in this. Probably Marshall Islands and some of the other micro states.
A dangerous gambit to pull at this moment in time. It’s just blatant sabotage.
Anyway, this was bad. But I fear worse will come (not regarding Taiwan, but with the Trump admin in general before Biden is sworn in).
Hehe, had a laugh reading it earlier. Can’t re-read it though, it was my article nr. 9 this month I think and nr. 10 is already read. WP not important enough for me to read in-depth more than 10 articles a month, so I always hedge my reads per month. You can get away with that with WP though, considering people on twitter usually selects the best bits of their stories , and there are seldom more than 10 very important articles a month anyway.
I blame @Alright_Now for being out of articles this month. Your fault not writing headline, just posting an article with a blank banner, since I am a bloody curious person !
It’s against the law to publicly advocate the killing of anyone. Welcome to the mainstream, Parler. It does seem they took action. Not sure why people are not being arrested. Guliani could/should be in jail for his “trial by combat” comment.
Yeah, they are going to lay a whole lot of booby traps on their way out. It really is pathetic. This is real, grown up stuff with people’s lives at stake. It’s hard to see a scenario where Taiwan isn’t reabsorbed into China before the middle of the century, but I don’t imagine that S Korea or Japan will be happy to see it happen.
But it’s okay if you say shit like that on a forum apparently.
Agreed. Taiwan will eventually, sooner or later, re-join China. It is my hope that “we”, the West and the rest of the world, can pressure China into giving them some sort of federal type of rule when it is finally absorbed. The alternative would be tragic given how used Taiwanese people are to Western-style freedom.
