I’m actually uselessly generalizing. Several of my good old Army buddies have absorbed the koolaid. My neighbor his an ex-Navy man (not career) who is a big Trumpian. Then there’s General Flynn. He’s Army but not West Point. There could be something to the theory that people steeped in the the rich traditions of West Point and Annapolis would be less inclined to become radicalized; I don’t know. I don’t think the distinction is geographic, and actually Colorado is chock full of liberals, too, even if a bit less saturated than Cali and New York.
Disturbing in any event to think of a guy with 20 years of service standing on the House floor or wherever he was with a bundle of zip ties stuck on his belt.
Fucking hell guys…I’d rather try and see the good in people and believe that dude was just looking for the right spot to lay down some of his cool zip-tie sculptures.
That glass…it can be half-full, you know…you should try it some time.
It’s also used for military forces, as well as guerillas and terrorists, if they think they might take prisoners. Handcuffs are impractical to carry in the field if you are expecting you may take more than a couple of prisoners. And these types were likely ex-army and had hoped they could take congressmen hostage I suppose.
